Is it just me or are people from other countries (which don't have Pokemon Go yet) hijacking our servers and causing them crash and freeze much of the time?

This is a screen shot of what it looks like where I'm at now in NJ. I went to someone else's house a few blocks away further inland yesterday and checked as well, and she had NO stops

I'll post a comparison when I get back tomorrow
Okay, so this is what my map looks like when I'm back in my city:

You could almost do a self guided walking tour...when you expand the pokestop signs, it gives random facts and history on different areas, buildings, sculptures, murals, signs, etc

We just got back from McDonald's.. there's a Pokestop inside and outside of it. Us and about 20 other cars kept setting up lures. There were maybe 4-5 cars there that belonged to actual customers lol.

Also, naming your Eevee after one of the Eevee Brothers to get the evolution you want does work. We tried it on two Eevees. I had to get Vaporeon. :p

I was riding my bicycle to the grocery store and I saw a Pokemon gym pop up on my map. I followed it to see where it was and it's somebody's house.... lucky for them if they play the game

Unlucky for them if they don't want hoards of people standing outside invading their
privacy.

Police warn of the dangers of Pokemon Go to children | Granada - ITV News

Its fun now but it will all come crashing down after a few serious accidents or
abductions involving children. Would you really want children letting complete
strangers know where they are and speaking/engaging with them. All for a
bit of fun.

Police are urging parents and teachers to speak to young people about staying
safe when using the recently launched Pokemon Go app.

The app allows people to set up a ‘beacon’ which can then encourage other users
to reach a specific venue and police are concerned it could be the latest way
online criminals attempt to target victims.

Detective Superintendent Joanne Rawlinson, from GMP’s public protection division, said:

We know that criminals move quickly to exploit the latest developments to target
victims and Pokemon Go will already be in their sights. There have already been
incidents in America where young people are thought to have been targeted
through the app.

I would urge parents to speak to their children about the app and the best
ways to make sure they stay safe. Talking to your child is one of the best ways
to keep them safe.

Online child sexual abuse and grooming is a rapidly growing problem and as
part of Project Phoenix we continue to work with other partner agencies to raise
awareness of the issues and provide advice and guidance on Internet safety, how
to stay safe, spot the signs and how to report offences. Young people, parents,
teachers and others need to know what to look for so they can raise concerns.

I ask parents to speak to their children about the sites they visit online, who they
talk to and most importantly what to do if they see inappropriate content or are
approached by someone that worries them. Advise your child to tell someone they
trust and stress they won’t be in trouble. Explain to your child that friends are people
that they know in ‘real life’ not someone they don’t know online.

Parents, make sure you know what your child is doing online and encourage them
to talk about any people that approach them online. Everyone needs to keep security
settings high and make sure the friends you are talking to online are really your friends.

– DETECTIVE SUPERINTENDENT JOANNE RAWLINSON

Advice to users is:

  • Be cautious about alerting strangers to where you will be in future
  • Be careful where you leave ‘beacons’
  • Parents, supervise children when using the app
  • Always pay attention to your surroundings, especially in built up areas
  • Where possible play with friends and stay in a group
  • Avoid playing near roads
  • Play at home – you can use lures to attract Pokémon to you
  • ·Keep your device safe – you can still play with your phone out of sight, it will
vibrate when a Pokémon is near
  • Don’t play while driving

For more information on child sexual exploitation and who to contact if you have
any concerns that a young person you know may be a victim of child sexual exploitation visit www.itsnotokay.co.uk.

You can also report it to Greater Manchester Police by calling 101 or call Crimestoppers
anonymously on 0800 555 111. If someone is in immediate danger, dial 999.

I just spent about an hour and a half on my bicycle repeatedly writing laps around my neighborhood to hatch an egg

I'm getting a little better at it. I tried a gym and nearly beat them all using one pokemon, so I may go back sometime and see if I can take it. Umm I hit level 11 today. Between lucky eggs and incense/lures, you can really go thru the levels quite fast. I seem to be overrun with Eevees where I'm at, but it's not so bad once you get them evolved lol.

Here's most of what I've managed to catch:

Omgoodness. Your eevees are very high in CP. Winning team!

Meanwhile, in fantasia, a land far far away, I patiently wait everyday, for Poke-freaking-mon go. I expect a mewtwo as my second pokemon for all this trouble. :p

No we still don't have it :( It's not even in Japan!! It's so sad. And there is no release date. They only said in a "few week's time"

So I'll just share in all you guys's happiness here.
Not even in Japan?! Wow lol. They should give you Mewtwo, all three starter pokemon, and Pikachu for the wait. :p

You can power them up using candies and stardust, but I would wait until you have Pokemon in the 250/300 range. Don't waste stardust on lower levels, because you'll need it later. The higher level you are, the better Pokemon you'll get. Evolving them really adds to the CP too. I know it's not the same for every Pokemon, but Eevee is an awesome evolution. Mine went from 250/300 to around 700 after I evolved them. Then I used candies to power them up.

Oh my gosh this is Pokemon Go Heaven right here!!! We have a park downtown that always seems to have lures going and I can literally sit there and catch Pokemon for hours!!!

I saw someone has a Vulpix.... I'm so jealous! Vulpix and Nine Tails are my favorite! <3

I'm so close to level 15 and I have a Flareon at cp1088! I just evolved Evee to a Jolteon, a Ghastly to a Haunter, and found a Rhyhorn tonight. :)

Nice! Nine Tails is one of my favs too. I actually saw a Vulpix "nearby" earlier, but sadly couldn't find it lol. I did get a Scyther and female Nidoran though, so not a total loss. :p
