So you judge the man, and read all against him, but never read what he has to say?

I'm not Catholic, so I don't see a reason for the pope but there were some encouraging and thought-provoking tweets to be found. Why care what others think about this sort of thing?

What are your thoughts on the Pope's messages on tweeter?

https://twitter.com/Pontifex
I wasn't aware of this I don't use twitter, thanks for sharing! social media sites have a few ranked in the top 10 visited sites, twitter being one of them source Alexa. So its easier to pass his message around the world :)

Saw it. Not surprised. I doubt he personally tweets most of them.

I'm not Catholic, i don't believe in the pope, therefore i don't care what he has to say. There are billions of people i wouldn't read their tweets, am i judging all those people too? No. It has nothing to do with judging, it has to do with the fact that he is no one of importance to me, and i don't want to waste my time knowing what they have to say.
Seems you're the one judging.

No ugly he's not judging u buddy. He was merely referring to the fact that the way you worded your comment was in a way where you were making the pope out to be too worthless for you to even waste your time reading his tweet. And thats exactly how u wanted it to come accross wording it like that, or u wouldn't have said anything at all. Don't try and deny it mate. it's obvious. God bless you all the same. Just remember, the most important thing is to love eachother. And buddy, whether u like it or not, the pope loves u, and if u had something to say to him, he'd listen without making a smart ass remark. we're all christians and we can all learn something from eachother. God bless.

The question was about the pope tweets. If you do not care you did not have to open the thread. But you clearly had to make a statement that you do not care because he is unimportant to you.

1. You had to make a statement saying how unimportant he is to you.
2. You reaffirmed the statement, stating your don't care for the pope.
3. How does this fall in with love your neighbor as you love yourself?

Here is an exercise you can do to guide your love:
insert your name in the blanks...

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
____ is patient
____ is kind
____ is not envious
____ is not boastful
____ is not arrogant
____ is not rude
____ does not insist on its own way
____ is not irritable
____ is not resentful
____ does not rejoice in wrongdoing
____ rejoices in the truth
____ bears all things
____ believes all things
____ hopes all things
____ endures all things

I have failed at times to be what God told us to be, this brings me back in the right path.

That is indeed funny. I hear many people say I do not care about tweeter. Social media has indeed gone overboard.

you ever been described as basic jimmy?
I hope you don't consider me a brother by any means.

Matthew 5:22
But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to
judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,' is answerable to the
Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of
hell.

very rich coming from u buddy. Tell me something. Is it a sin to say something, knowing its going to cause someone to get angry? Or is it a sin to say something (however indirect it might be) implying that some1(the pope) is not worth your time? Pull that log out of your eye champ, before u go around throwing bible passages around implying i did something wrong lol God bless u all the same. And yeh u r a brother to me as long as u see Jesus as our Lord. whether u like it or not.

First, thanks for thinking you know me and telling me what i think, despite the fact that you don't know anything about me. Great way to start thing off.

Second, Yes, i did say it was worthless to read his posts. I also went on to say reading billions of others would be worthless too. I don't go on twitter. I've been on it maybe twice total. It is a complete waste of time, i don't care who is tweeting. So maybe next time read all my posts before getting on your high horse.

Third, i am Christian, not Catholic. I do not accept Catholicism as part of Christianity, so, no, 'we are not all Christians'.

Forth, i could care less how the pope would respond to me talking.

Fifth, watch your language, this is a Christian site and cussing is not permitted.

First of all my friend, i never tried telling you what you think. i pointed out the way that YOU KNEW your message would come accross. Don't change the context of your comment because it suits you mate. AGAIN! its a very basic thing to do that my 5 year old nephew can do.

About your comment on us not all being christians, what you accept and what is the truth are 2 VERY different things, and again, i suggest you have a read of the catechism of the catholic church and research EXACTLY what the catholics believe before you make such a big call with ABSOLUTELY no clue on what you're talking about. Alot of people only listen to what's being said to them by people who haven't got a clue about what the church teaches and who have a problem with the church.

And about your accusing me of cussing. lol when did i cuss buddy? It seems that you accuse me of doing stuff only because it makes your case against me look stronger.

I will say this again, brother. IF YOU DIDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT WHAT HE TWEETS, THEN WHY WOULD YOU MAKE THAT SO CLEAR ON HERE KNOWING IT WOULD OFFEND SOME PEOPLE?? COMPLETELY SPITEFUL!! It's simple. Some people go completely out of their way to run the catholic church and the pope down without knowing a thing about us! Reminds me of how you accused me of this.......
First, thanks for thinking you know me and telling me what i think, despite the fact that you don't know anything about me. Great way to start thing off.

I was sceptical about the catholic church too when i was saved, mate. But after some research (wich is ongoing), i found that SO MUCH of what i was told about the catholic church was complete and utter rubbish. I'm not saying the catholic church as an organisation has no faults. No organistion on earth, with a human element, is perfect. But the teachings of the catholic church and the traditions are INCREDIBLE!! They really are beautiful. And i have found, so far, that her teachings are correct and DO NOT, as others accuse, go against the teachings of Christ. Just research. It's really not that hard. You can get a copy of the catechism very very easily. And then, if you find something wrong with her teachings, you can use it as a source to explain to people, like myself, what is wrong with it by quoting it. Instead of running us down for no educated reason. God bless. My name's Charlie btw.
