I was in a chat room where this guy was talking and just praying in tongues on the microphone casually as if it were no big deal. It gave me the creeps and I don't think it was right. If that is a real gift you shouldn't just go around showing it off like that. And I believe the bible says you aren't supposed to speak it like that in public anyway unless there was someone there to interepret.

Maybe I'm wrong?

i think if someone is praying in tongues them they should have a translator of we should understand what they say. otherwise it is really of no help to us. and if they do pray in tongues i think it is also a personal thing...
that is just my opinion tho.

hmm anyone has an idea of what the advantages and disadvantages are when someone's praying in tongues... in a public place?
