Well two in each lobe and two in the top of each ear.
Oh okay, cartilages as well as lobes.

You said lips as well, upper as well as lower? or more like snakebites? (What's the difference between snakebites and angel bites?)

Blessings.

Just lower lips and I have no clue. I've always wondered the same thing.

You mean like, one stud each side of the lower lip? These days anyway you can get studs that are so tiny that they can be worn to keep the hole but are hardly conspicuous. Blessings.

I currently have 2 piercings in each ear lobe, although I'm not wearing any earrings right now. My skin is pretty sensitive and the piercings get irritated really easily. I'd love to get the cartilage in each ear done as well, but I hesitate due to the sensitivity. I'd wear earrings a lot if I could. I'm not a big fan of jewelry and don't wear any (except a wedding ring when I was married), but I love earrings, I wish I could wear them more often.

Maybe she figured that you would eventually make your own decision as an adult in any case... :)

Blessings.

Would numbing cream help the piercing? and hypo-allergenic metals, also?

Blessings.

Yes she always lets me make up my own mind about what I want to do but she always has something to say about it. Like the tattoo I'm about to get, me not taking medicine or seeing a doctor when I sick or hurt, or the fact I'll never cut my hair again. But I guess all moms have something to say when it comes to their kids.

Well, when it comes to earrings, anyway, she probably realizes that you've adopted a 'minimalist' approach.

(There is a tattoo thread also.)

You must know what you prefer re. hair; for people with thicker hair especially, really long hair can be heavy and hurt and damage the scalp, but you must know.)

Blessings.

Yes I know. My hair is thick and heavy already. I had it down to my lower back before so I know how hard it can be.

I have not tried numbing cream. I have tried a lot of different hypo-allergenic earrings, but I haven't had any luck with them. I'm thinking I should just get some plastic studs and try those.

PS: Cartilage seems to be the way to go now, doesn't it? (once the lobes have gotten a few).

Blessings.
Yes, my sister just got hers done, she now has 5 piercings total and I'm a tad jealous :p

There are also wooden ones, though they are more like plugs; depends on the gauge of piercing. There's acrylic also.
