I don't know anything about WOF movements and such, but it seems so wrong to almost tempt the Lord by not getting readily available help. Of course we need to pray and the Lord can and does do miracles for His Glory, but using the philosophy that these people used why bother doing ANYTHING.

It sounds like this famous story:

A fellow was stuck on his rooftop in a flood. He was praying to God for help.
Soon a man in a rowboat came by and the fellow shouted to the man on the roof, "Jump in, I can save you."
The stranded fellow shouted back, "No, it's OK, I'm praying to God and he is going to save me."
So the rowboat went on.
Then a motorboat came by. "The fellow in the motorboat shouted, "Jump in, I can save you."
To this the stranded man said, "No thanks, I'm praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith."
So the motorboat went on.
Then a helicopter came by and the pilot shouted down, "Grab this rope and I will lift you to safety."
To this the stranded man again replied, "No thanks, I'm praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith."
So the helicopter reluctantly flew away.
Soon the water rose above the rooftop and the man drowned. He went to Heaven. He finally got his chance to discuss this whole situation with God, at which point he exclaimed, "I had faith in you but you didn't save me, you let me drown. I don't understand why!"
To this God replied, "I sent you a rowboat and a motorboat and a helicopter, what more did you expect?"
I love that story. One of the few jokes I remember because it goes past a joke.

Since you get the same channels I get, (I think), if you get the channel called "Decades," they repeat their movies sometimes. I'm not sure if it will play again, since August 25, 1973 was the day the boy died. My heart truly breaks for that family, but what impressed me was, for once, Hollywood did not make Christians look like complete idiots or creeps. It was believable that the couple would keep believing their son would be saved despite everything that happened.

OK. So you are against the Word of Faith crowd, not healing?
I'm against anyone who thinks hoping God heals means he has healed.

I've been healed and hubby is healed, so I'm definitely not against healing. :)

most of us here know the source of Life's Spring...
we have learned about false prophets and such...
we know that satan will rail and take a hold of many through their weaknesses...
but,
we know that the birth of a New Nation is soon coming and that The Gate of Life
will swing wide...

so many false religions, so many false philosophies - the days come to us for re-thinking...

soon we will see who is bought with Jesus Christ's Holy blood...
Do you really think "most?" I ask because I see a lot of WoF taught on this site.
