My Husband shaves his head like super short buzz in the summer and grows it out some in the winter because he's a mailman and has to go with the season. He looks cute both ways. I kind of like the messy beard and hair winter look on him but I don't really care.
My Nephew used to wear a man bun. I never say anything about trends that people try, but I love him, so with his best interest in mind I said, you gotta lose the man bun.

As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.
To me, this verse is very significant because this woman who washed Christ's feet was a sinner and it was with her hair which shows me a perfect example of submission and possibly shows me that women should have long hair. I know it probably doesn't make sense, but it makes perfect sense in my heart

I say grow it however you like it as long as you don't make a fool of yourself doing it and for that reason alone I would say ixnay on the toupe. Most guys my age can no longer grow their hair long because the Gallagher look (long hair in the back with nothing or seriously thinning on top) looks ridiculous.
Personally I went to the nearly clean shaved (a number 1 head on clippers) years ago partially because it's easier to get paint off stubble than out of hair and partially because my rapidly retreating hairline (and increasing grey) is not nearly as obvious with it that short.
I used to shave it clean but the second day stubble drove my wife nuts.
