Set Your Minds On Things Above,
That is to say place your life on spiritual ambitions and
live in holiness. The things we once knew that were not
good for us, we need to set aside and bury them. We
need to love God, to love one another and to reach out
to those who are unlovable. Just as Jesus did, we need
to reach out for the downtrodden, people who live on the
fringes of society and even those who were once believers
but fell away. I believe that verse is telling us to not have
a selfish mind. By selfish, I don't mean money, I mean to
proclaim the Holy Spirit to others by displaying love. It is
not adequate to just know love but we need to be love to
all and not be judgemental and accusatory but rather we
are to accept and follow the pathway of our Lord Jesus
Christ. He came to save the world and now we need to
give Him a little help.
