Just saw an add for a "refrigerator organizer specialist" offering their service.
Is this for real.
Do people really get paid for this.
If the public has become this stupid, is there any hope for the future?

Maybe this is a female looking for a husband. She wants to check out the fridge first to get a handle of what she may be dealing with.

I'll see that and raise you.

During the covid lockdown in 2020, my fast food factory (McDonald's itself, the poster child of fast food) was still going strong. We were considered an essential service.

That means we as a nation have sunk below the skill level needed to OPERATE A CAN OPENER! o_O

In this Country, there are people willing to do whatever a person is willing to pay to have done. (not for nothing.......but your ScreenName puts a target on your back for those seeking to enrich themselves off of others) :)

I do fridge libraries but nobody pays me

some people have no idea how to organize books and just jam them in any old way. Or how to look after them.

Librarians get paid to organize books, often we deal with thousands of books, some larger libraries can contain millions. All needs organisation.

I just learned the other day that there are egg cracking tools.
Whatever happened to using your hands to cracking an egg? I mean, my hands are free and easy to clean!
What a scam!

I never really got the point of 'outdoor heaters'. Or who would buy them. Why would you need to heat the outside again?
Couldnt you just go inside to be warmer?

Some people think it is possible to choose your gender. Where I live, I could go to prison for saying otherwise - saying the truth, that is. Jesus is the only hope for the future.

Wouldn't surprose me.

If I was playing guitar outside in cold weather, a heater would help keep my fingers limber and me warm!

People believed that fear of the common cold, re-badged as something more sinister, was justification for injecting themselves with an experimental, gene-modifying toxin. I now believe that there is no debt that folly will not eventually endeavour to plumb.

Did you hear about the young girl that was having trouble shopping.
Only bought cans that had a pop open top because she could not use a can opener.

As far as essential service, I read a report years ago that found that 70% of all jobs in America were basically non essential because they offered services or produced product that offered convenience but was really not necessary for daily life.

I was talking to a realtor awhile back and she was saying that she is finding that when young clients buy a house, they don't know how to fill out the paperwork because they don't know how to sign their own names.

With cursive being eliminated in the schools, all they can do is print, and so she has to have them print their names on all the required paperwork because they don't know anything else.

Never in my life did I think reading and writing in cursive would become an elusive skill, and that it would eventually go extinct.

I'm certainly not knocking anyone for not knowing cursive because I don't think it's often their fault. The young people just aren't being taught, and the schools say they don't have the budgets to be able to teach them.

But I couldn't help but think of times in history (sometimes not so distant) when people were "required" to "sign" paperwork (mostly for show and a mocking nod to supposed legal requirements,) and all they could do was write a large "X" in the blanks, because that's all they knew of writing.

If, no when the power grids go down and people cannot charge their phones or use their PCs,
most people will just sit in the dark where they are and wait for the government to come and rescue their dumb butts.
