I have one, you won't believe this!

It is legal in the UK for a bus driver who is caught short to relieve himself against the rear near side wheel of the bus!

How do I know this you may ask.

I was at work a few years ago and a woman called with this very same query and asked if it was legal. Apparently her husband was a bus driver and
had done this very thing. This led to complaints on the bus and the bus company was threatening to sack him.

But it is written in the law. I think it is a very very old piece of legislation which probably goes back to the horse and coach days, when there was no public toilets about.

lol

You may not believe this either, but in the UK, we must pay for a license to own a television!

In Colorado, where I usually am, I do not know this to be true but one day my girl friend at the time and I were walking in the park and a cop car cruised by. She turned to me and said, "Well, you better do as I want or I will kick off my shoes." "Yeah, so?" "Well there is a law there that a female without shoes on is expected to be a rape victim ..... and you are with me ....." She snuggled closer and gave her sandals a kick.....

Luckily, we broke up about a week later. She got even weirder. But, when I asked around if there was such a law, the city clerk (a friend) commented it would not surprise him given how old the rule book was.

Yet there was, in those days, "the rear near side wheel of the bus"...? :D

Or was it, "the rear near side wheel of the coach"...? :p

(Most of which was space between the spokes...) ;)

"I am just teasing you..." :)

I have not looked it up -- but, it is probably O.K. to do that in Texas... :D

just out of interest has anyone actually tried to lasso a fish (assuming it can legally be done where you are). Is that even physically possible.

Oh by the way what is the difference between illegal and unlawful.

(One is against the law, the other is a poorly bird - groan, groan :p

Back in Alaska there are 2 interesting ones I remember.
It is illegal to wake a sleeping bear for the purpose of taking it's picture, and it's illegal to push a moose out of an aircraft.

In Michigan a wife cannot cut her hair without her husbands permission.
There was a law of something like 10 cents for every dead pigeon brought to I think town hall.
One I wish we're still in place, it was illegal to swear infront of women and children. This was abolished because some man complained that it goes against freedom of speech, but really I would think there would be more important things this man could have fought for.
