i started with Dickens, but am now Waiting for Godot.
Could Beckett had written that play if he had stayed in Ireland? Or did it need the French language?

George C. Scott, I think. You forgot Alistair Sim who was very good. I have a special place in my heart for Scrooge! with Albert Finney, he is the most humorous Scrooge.

Merry Christmas. Thank you very much for your post on the Greasy Grace thread. It meant a lot to me, I liked your post but did not thank you. I ought to have done then. God bless you.

Yep. Definitely George C. Scott. He had a way of smiling merriment with his eyes telling you different. Even after he had changed his ways I felt like it wasn't going to last. He was a mean one.... he really was a heel. Matter of fact - he was a 3 decker sauerkraut and toadstool sandwich with arsenic sauce.

*Spoiler Alert* You didn't hear the epilogue or read the epilogue, about Tiny Tim NOT dying and how Scrooge kept Christmas better than anyone in London. Besides, the Grinch reformed too. His heart grew three sizes.

Don't believe I'm alone in hoping top hats come back into fashion. I think this video proves they're appropriate in practically any activity.

Yes, they're quite dashing. Hats are great. I can't resist a fedora.
