Wow I've been so focused on blue ladybug[/COLOR] I forgot about the purpose of this thread... Sorry anyway Don't worry about it I believe Steven Universe is safe(also just saying but don't miss this episode today it's about KINDERGARTEN)

Highlighted above is where your focus has been. :)

quote by megaquake: And if you must know there is no evidence of a gem fusing with a human ever also if your choosing a episode you might as well choose Roses Scabbard, On The Run, The Return/Jailbreak And Full Disclousure.

I thought you said the gems DO fuse with humans, as in the case of stevonnie?

quote by megaquake: and what proof do you have my only focus is Steven universe I don't worship it my focus is still on god.

Read the first comment I wrote up above. :)

One:Steven is a half gem half human it's not a gem fusing with a human Two:as I said before MY FOCUS IS ON GOD seriously just because I'm excited for a episode doesn't mean my focus is 100% on Steven universe it's still on god!

Everything you do in life is based on what you Discern in your spiritual walk. It may be watching this program, or another TV program, a certain movie, a radio song, a book, playing a certain game, or even a live speech. That is why it is so important to stay focused on What would JESUS do? I must confess, I was ready to tell you that you need to grow up and stop watching cartoons...but then I reflect back on the Looney Tunes characters, especially when Porky Pig was after Bugs Bunny in a Viking/Romance opera style cartoon and he sang "KIll duh Wabbitt!" I still laugh and all my babyboomer friends still remember that exact episode...so I guess I will never grow out of enjoying a good cartoon! lol lol lol

Yeah that's what I've been thinking.... And especially now, talking about that gem named Pearl who had a crush on Steven's mom? It has basically been confirmed that she was like obsessive in love with Rose. But apparently not in a way that goes in a negative/creepy way, though it could easily do so. :/
No, it has not been confirmed. I really can't stand that ship. Pearl obviously has a more Twilight Sparkle/Princess Celestia relationship with Rose Quartz. It wouldn't evdn make much sense in the context of the show for them to have been involved that way.
But I mean just.....lookit these faces!!!

Call me stupid but the feeling of joy I get from watching these is almost like when you have a crush on someone you shouldn't but they still do stupidly adorable things. Ugh, maybe I need help
i know, for the most part it's a terrific show.
That doesn't excuse thaw bad it has done.
The question is: Can you love this show WITHOUT loving any of the evil?
I believe the answer is yes. I've spoken to both my dad and one of my pastors about it, not to mention God Himself of course, and although the implications still bother me, they aren't very present and as long as it is not compromising my faith and I can find good things to do with it too, I believe it to be alright.
But- and I can not stress this enough- You have to speak with God and decide for yourself.

If there is anyone who's like me and feels as though they shouldn't give up on the show yet, I am working on gender confusion-free SU fanfiction for anyone who's interested.
Also, has anyone mentioned Phillipians 4:8 on here yet?
i feel as though that verse tells us to give things that still have good in them a chance, you know?

Mega quake, I have no idea what you're talking about. This episode actually gave me a new sense of hope, seeing how they were able to mention Ruby and Sapphire and make pretty much no reference to any sort of romance. This makes me think God's answering my prayers, maybe enough people have gotten upset, and maybe the censors are starting to crack down on them!
Is it because of the dark storyline? SU has some dark elements, but I don't think they've ever gone over the line with it.
(Keep in mind I've only read it, I haven't been able to see it, so was there a visual thing that was bad that I missed?)
i hope parents are coming to their senses and they do turn this show around. I think they can, and I believe they will, especially now.

Dont get any ideas I still like the show but watch this clip:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4h9gyYQGZjw and then read my review This was a heavy episode. Usually, SU does a fantastic job packing their stories into twelve minutes, and although they did this time as well I can't help but feel that this episode would have deserved just a few more minutes...Seeing Garnet fight to keep from coming apart at the sheer wrongness and horror of what Homeworld had done (and everything about the forced fusions themselves) was unsettling and very, very well executed. There were definitely some important messages about consent, choice, and love, and they were well-conveyed. The way Homeworld viewed these Gems (and I suspect that even if they weren't Shards this would have been the case) makes me think of how a number of cultures/governments/people view women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people of other races, and children—as less than human, as inferior and without valid opinions and beliefs, even as slaves.
Ruby and Sapphire's conversation/Garnet talking to herself was especially jarring, which fit considering that she was tearing herself apart out of horror and guilt (did Ruby think that maybe Homeworld got the idea due to how powerful Garbet was back during the War?). It was really interesting to see another layer added to their personalities, and I loved how Garnet explained everything to Steven as well. Mom Squared is Best Mom.
Every time we see Peridot, she does something else that can't be called anything less than unforgiveable. The ruthless termination of damaged tools (squishing the adorable robot), trying to reactivate the kindergarden (going by her dialogue at that time) before trying to kill Steven, working with Jasper to destroy the Crystal Gems, and now this. I'm not sure to what degree she was responsible for the Eldritch Fusions (going by what Garnet said, they've likely been in the works since the War, but whether Peridot was just checking up on them or actively furthering their torment isn't as clear—regardless, the way she treated the shards as callously as her robot doesn't say a lot in favor of her character), but I doubt that Garnet is going to bother trying to find out.
On the other hand, that bit between Steven and Peridot? It almost makes me wonder if she would have just tried to talk him into not ratting her out to the other Crystal Gems instead of fighting. Or maybe she still would have skipped right to trying to kill him. Hard to tell with her. In any case, it was hilarious and I'm going to go watch that scene on repeat to stop thinking about the rest of the episode for a little bit.

Why? As I said their GENDERLESS they don't have private parts or wombs! Not to mention the fact that they just prefer female FORMS and Use FEMALE PRONOUNS

Please calm down. Like I said, it still sends bad messages to kids. The kids watching probably don't know they're technically genderless.

The bad message is that same sex couples are okay, when they're not
I could be dead wrong, but this episode just gave me a sense of hope, that the censors will prevent anymore of that to leak through. I know it's a long shot, but this show was somewhat important to me and I know it was for a lot of other people too, and I know God cares about things even as insignificant seeming as this. So I'm certain He'll answer my prayers.

I'm gonna bet that by the end of the series Ruby And Sapphire will still be a couple(just Saying But C'mon! Not every reference has to be romanticized)
