What? Sorry, I was obviously still amused.
Actually, amuse as not thinking makes sense. A muse is someone or something that is considered in great detail. If "a" means without, it makes sense. And Gary is the source and he's usually a little OCD about such things. He probably couldn't function for a couple of days after purposely misspelling words and using poor syntax.

The 'a-' is not meaning 'Not' like in Greek (e.g., a-millennial means 'not millennial'). The 'a-' instead
means 'at' or 'to'. So, the meaning is more like 'at thinking' or 'cause to think'. It's from French.

Stupid French...always messing up words. Pretty soon they will want their own language.

But but but....

This doesn't get my Muse to sit back on her chair....
She must be mad at me for something
....just like a woman...gets mad and storms off and doesn't tell us men what we can do to fix it.

Do you know of a way to teach women to be kind to us men? lol

Nope...I've been trying to figure it out my whole life...but I know a whole bunch of ways to make them mean.

WELL!
Just don't do the things you know will make us mean!
Problem solved!
A little tear gas through the window will get her out of the room if you really want that, but so long as she didn't grab the remote on the way out I don't see the need.

That's a lot more difficult than you are suggesting.

See,
A woman starts her whining and carrying on about stuff at work....and I listen carefully but say nothing (because the last time she did that she got mad when I said something) and she gets mad again this time because this time I didn't say nothing.

So....yeah....there's that.

So, all his amusing talk reminds me of a Dennis he Menace comic strip (I can't find to post right now)
Denis is looking serious at his mom and says "Mr. Wilson says I'm annoying"
In the next box he looks at his mom puzzled and asks "What's a noying?"

Well! Didn't you know that last time you weren't supposed to say something, but given the situation this time you SHOULD have said something?
Now, get yourself out to your workshop and make something special to say "I'm sorry I am a guy and will never understand this game women play but will continue to try" (and don't worry too much; half the time women don't understand this game we play either ;) )

And speaking of the workshop, how did that leather  um I think it was a journal, you were working on (I think as a Christmas gift for a sister in law? And it was so lovely that your wife wanted one and you were talking about making her one too) ever turn out?

This one was for my SIL and my wife's was very similar except with a "J" instead of a "B".
I lined them with some nice cloth and included an interior pocket. Both women absolutely love their A5 journals. My wife refuses to bring hers to church because she doesn't want them other women to "see it" with their hands....lol. I used colored neetsfoot oil to dye them that I colored with dye....so even though the leather WAS stiff the oil softened it to where it isn't floppy but isn't stiff as a board either. IOW they have a great feel to the leather and the oil makes it more waterproof against things that it will encounter with "life" like coffee, ketchup, or sodas etc.

I think that the next time I make one I'll either round off the corners a bit or get some fancy corners for the leather....

Trying to decide a menu for the senior pastor when I invite him over to dinner....

I think I got it almost figured out....

Filet with thyme-tomatoe sauce, fresh angel hair pasta with Alfredo sauce? (Maybe just herbed garlic cream and butter) and some tossed broccoli, asparagus or whatever I can find fresh.

Of course fresh bread sourdough and brioche....(butter, herbed olive oil, and cinnamon honey butter)
And I'm drawing a blank at dessert....
Yeast cake? (Almost like a daiquiri in taste)
Chocolate mousse tart with Strawberry sauce.
Tira mi sue....
(Coffee of course)
Dunno.....my muse seems to have stepped out for a bit.

Maybe a salad too....maybe not. Dudnt matter....just wondering where my muse has run off to.
ehm... what time did you say dinner is? i don't want to be late. :giggle:

Greek alpha privative, yes?

if you wanna believe my high school Latin teacher, Mrs. Berringer (and i suggest we all do that :D ), it's the Latin preposition ad (toward; to) before muse. odd, i remember practically everything Mrs. Berringer said, and have no idea where i left my glasses or what day of the week it is.

Around here it's a minimum of a 90-120 minute drive to anywhere to get to a nice restaurant....

Doesn't mean that people don't know or don't like meals like that....but the talent pool for such things is low. There aren't many restaurants to start with that aren't fast food, fried chicken, or barbecue.

Meaning...I'm the talent as a former professional. And a nice meal is a great draw for people. And a means to getting to know people. Pastors are busy...they get harassed non-stop by members and non-members alike. People preach at them, gossip, and tell them what they or someone are doing wrong.

But I just want to be a friend....ask a few questions. Just talk about fun stuff. Talk shop from a different perspective. Talk about his daughter's upcoming wedding. And all inside the privacy of my home without him having to be on stage and performing. So he can speak candidly and openly without repercussions.

Best way to do that is over dinner....and to be distracted by it to the point he can relax. We are deep in the country....and for whatever reason people do a lot of "close enough" when it comes to things....including food. I don't think that way. I'm extremely militant and exacting. It's either perfect or it's wrong. No worse than putting pornography on a church wall....just wrong as wrong can be.

And....my wife and I are working on a project of a curriculum to teach hermeneutics. Both inductive and deductive methods. Which materials and resources to use and how to vet resources so you don't get caught up in someone's pet theology. To where you can do Doctoral level research on your own of the scriptures. And we will need to teach the first one but then...we want others to teach this stuff. We want him to look it over and promote the class. We are not going to teach any theologies at all. We will assume the class has some.

It's taking time to put this together...and others have tried but done a poor job of it. We are looking at their stuff as a backdrop...but shaking our heads in wonder at it. I have my own library of resources....done things on my own....so people can look firsthand at them.

So....after a nice meal....maybe he will think we can do what we are suggesting we can do.

"BRIANNA" on left lower corner...
is that SIL name?

John, that is absolutely gorgeous!

Was there a special type of machine used for stitching it all together, or just a regular sewing machine with a special needle?
