It has been my understanding since being taught to shake hands, bow to adults, stand when elders enter a room, etc. that the hand shake is a sign that the person comes in peace bearing no weapon, much like the raise arm in Roman times.

Frankly, the older I am the more I ralize that throughout history the first victim of wars is indeed the truth, and the revisionism of those in power is rampant, so prayer with study, even of our history is always a good idea.........God bless.

From where, did the custom of handshaking come?:)

As none of the people i live with are really that interested in growing plants, i get annoyed seeing yellowed leaves from pots with hardened soil (no one cares to water when it doesnt rain), or dry leaves falling and blown away from elevated pots. One time, i read parts of Jonah, and jonah protesting abt his plant reminded/rebuked me: If Jesus was concerned about the death of a soulless plant, why should not God be concerned about the souls of the Ninevites-- and the other people about me. So stop fussing and enjoy the blooms, leaves and thorns and let others too.

I like to beliee they did. They knew our Father face-to-face, and it is certain once having experienced His displeasure, they knew better than to disobey. There was an oral tradition from Adam, so there must have been repentence.....but you may argue all of this. I prefer to believe in things unseen, and that includes the pardon of Adam and Eve, even if they had dto wait until our Lord, Yeshua, came to them in the earth to give them the gospel...........

Did adam and eve ever repent of their sin?

Just for the sake of a possible scenario, would they have been once saved always saved before they fell?

David, the King and father of Solomon, was a mrderer, an adulterer, and who knows what all else, yet he wrote Psalm 32. He knew grace until his demise. I believe it is because he maintained a steady relationship with God. Just as all who have a steady relation ship with God once they believe Him in Jesus Christ. Remember if certain Hebrews maintained grace by their belief of the Fadther, they were believing Jesus and the Holy Spirit, and if this was the case, there well could be many today who are the same, only our Father knows for certain. God says He will justify the ungodly, and any people behaving as such today, I refer to knowing and maintaining a relationship with the Father, has a relationsip with God...the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Do not judge others to condemnation, and you will not be judged. We who relate to Jesus Christ are forgiven our faults; is not this amazing and a wonder? Praise god Almight, He is always good, amen.

Just for the sake of a possible scenario, would they have been once saved always saved before they fell?

I read this is a stylization by Chinese culture, which looks at being fat as a blessing. The real Buddha was very lean. I would imagine on a strict diet of rice, and begging, it would be hard to get fat.

we understand that 'it' is a very acceptable 'idol-image' here in the us, as I myself have
seen lottttttsssss of people put them in their homes, from way back in the 70's and on, even out in
their yards for décor...I always used to find them ludicrous and stupid altogether, .
even before Conversion...

later-on when I understood just what it was and was significant of, it is just to be expected,
wholly confirmed by our Holy Bible...

especially in these 'Last-Days' - idols out the ying-yang... 'sports-idols' being right-up-there...

=========================================================

Yes, we believe so, because all 'sacrifice' for sins requires 'repentance'...we feel like this was the
roots of Jesus showing His Grace through the 'covering of Adam and Eve with animal skin'...

it is written, that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and ALL of the Prophets shall be in
The Kingdom of God = more ancient Grace being shown here...

Depends on which branch of Buddhism a person follows. All of them look to Siddhartha as the foremost Buddha. Buddha means enlightened one. Others believe there have been many Its the aim of the individual to become one.
