She is just so happy to get outside haha. My daughter's cat orange is like that, always looking to escape the house, lurking near the door and eyeing it when it opens, haha we really have to watch him. He used to escape and roam far, which really worried everyone, but now when he gets out he does not go far and is easily caught to be brought back indoors where he is safe :)
Bunnys to fat to get anywhere. She used to crawl into my neghbors yard and make climb the fence to get her. Made me late for school once or twice...

Some of you have seen these pics before... the love of my daughter's life :D

She got a puppy just over a year ago, after much searching for just the right dog.

Here is puppy Koda with Santa and big sister Coco:

Koda would be about half a year old in that photo :)

Here she is as a puppy:

This is what she looked like on the day she came home:

Coco as a puppy; she is five and a half now (I accidentally said six and a half before :p)

Coco and Koda vying for a stick:

Serious play time at the beach:

Koda at the falls:

Coco at the river:

Koda and Coco on fallen tree:

Koda in tree:

Koda on fallen tree:

Koda loves the water!

Coco and Koda at the river at sunset:

It is difficult to get Koda to sit still :D

Three of the five animals line up for dinner:

Coco and Koda go for a beach run:

Coco and Koda on fallen log:

Koda likes to play with big dogs:

Look what I found on my walk!

This hot dog tastes funny:

Eight months growth, from puppy to ten months old:

Coco is a very happy little girl:

She is a Cavapoo mixed breed:

Koda is a bit bigger than Coco now:

Here they are, play-fighting when Koda was a bit smaller:

This cat used to be feral; my daughter domesticated him :)

Elkhorn helps keep Koda busy:

Koda is a red tri mini Aussie Shepherd :)
My daughter took most of these pics on her phone :D

Thank you :) They are both really sweet dogs and my daughter takes very good care of them :D Koda is very high energy and needs lots of exercise, while Coco needs less so gets more than she needs, no doubt :) Koda loves the water! Coco will only stand in it, never swim, while Koda will fetch in water as long as you keep throwing. My daughter threw a rock one time into the river, and Koda went to get it from a bed of rocks haha.

Here are Koda and Coco a couple of weeks ago in the Gulf Islands:

Koda and I had a Lassie moment last Saturday when I got to my daughter's place. I thought she might be home from work already so when I got there, I went into the backyard instead of the house, and Koda ran to greet me, but then immediately started running away, but kept turning around, being all happy and wiggly like she normally is, but seemingly obviously wanting me to follow her. So I did. I was talking to her the whole time, asking her, do you want me to follow you? Is that what you want? You have something to show me? She kept going ahead of me but turning around to make sure I was following as she led me back behind the garage and then between the parked boat and vehicle that have not moved for years.

Part of the tarp covering the boat was lying on the ground, and Koda went right up to that, looking back at me, and I saw something that at first looked like a fish, but then I realized it was a bird on its back. A yellow Finch. I praised Koda and coaxed her away from her find, then called my daughter's dad to come and deal with the bird. He determined that it had just died (it was still limp) so of course we wondered if Koda could have killed it, but we all decided, no.

Last week a baby chickadee had fallen out of the bird house, and both dogs had stood closely inspecting it but not making any move to harm it. It is funny how Coco will go like a bat out of hell after rats but leave a baby bird alone. :)

Yikes, that is awful. We had a couple of pet raccoons for about four years, and I was their main care giver, feeding them and taking them for walks, brushing their fur etc. For many years, we also kept a bunny rabbit once a year, and one night, the raccoons got loose from their pen where they were chained, and were desperately trying to grab the rabbit from between the bars of its cage. It screamed, too, but I missed it, being fast asleep, though apparently many others were woken by the ruckus. Bunny was saved and the raccoons were chained back to their pen behind the garage. I have never heard a rabbit scream.

Oy, but I was young and stupid in those days. I bought a pet mouse and thought I would show it to my pet raccoons. LOL. Ferocious was the gentle one, and she politely sniffed the air with interest as I held the mouse cupped between my two hands in introduction, but she heeded my admonishment to look without touching. Not so Charlie. Charlie took one look at that mouse and it instantly disappeared from view. I was shocked and horrified, but immediately went back downtown and bought another mouse. This one was not going to meet the raccoons

Here is Koda behind the wheel of a car :D

Koda found a Guinea pig at the off leash dog park on Friday night. My daughter crawled around in
thorny bushes for about half an hour trying to catch it. On Saturday we took it to animal rescue :D

I also mean to mention to you, or ask you, if you have eliminated food source as the cause of Sophie's itch? Koda also has an skin itch problem, and my daughter restricts her diet, which does seem to help :)

I'm glad I never got into arguing politics. When I was a young lad my father (rest his soul) told me there are 3 things you should avoid discussing in the office (or any place) because they always lead to bad feelings among coworkers... and they are:

Politics, Religion, and Money.

When it comes to politics, I simply let God choose who's going to win (or lose)...

(sorry, I haven't really read the other posts yet....)

I put a call into the vet today. She's not back until tomorrow. So I have to see where we go from here. I recently switched her flea medication from Vectra to K9 Advintix 2, that's what I Use on the cats, they're indoor, but I saw one flea the other day when we were outside. I've been using the flea comb and haven't found anymore. I took her to the self serve dog wash today. I used an oatmeal shampoo on her. I didn't notice any fleas or flea dirt. I did however notice the liquid flea med's seemed to irritate her. So today I forked over another 60 dollars at the vet and got her some edible flea medication. I've been flea combing her again to see if I see any. I will know more tomorrow.

So if she has to take allergy medicine, she'll be on anxiety and allergy medication, just like me. We have so much in common. ;)

White is nice...

Or even apricot :)

I think I really like this colour, too...

Or this. Yes, I think this will do nicely, thank you :D

Hello Natania, what was your poodle's name?

Poodles are supposed to be the smartest of dogs :)

Yes, a magenta poodle would suit me just fine :D

I could even live with a touch of turquoise/teal :D
