I am very happy you are enjoying this thread, Ellie. I greatly enjoy reading the works of the Puritans (as you can tell from my quote videos) because they were so Christ-centered. However I have not read any books from Richard Sibbes or Thomas Goodwin just yet (but I've heard Sibbes book "The Bruised Reed" is quite good). Is that one of the books you are currently reading?

If you come across some meaningful and edifying quotes about Jesus in their books, please feel free to post them in this thread.

i read The Bruised Reed last month. twice. :)
i can't make them appear as lovely as you do, but here are two quotes from the book...

"What a support to our faith this is, that God the Father, the party offended by our sins, is so well pleased with the work of Redemption! And what a comfort this is, that seeing God's love rests on Christ as well pleased in Him, we may conclude that He is as well pleased in us if we are in Christ!"

but probably the most famous from that sermon--

"There is more mercy in Christ than sin in us."

Well, Ellie, if you've read Sibbs book twice in one month, it will definitely have to be one I pick up and read through soon.

And great quotes from the book about Jesus. Thank you for posting and sharing.

Here is a very good YouTube rendition of one of my favorite songs about Jesus.

"The Lamb of God" sung by Amanda Nagle (originally by Twila Paris).

I took this quote from the book "Absolute Surrender" written by Andrew Murray in the year 1897.

"I, who have been bought with the blood of Christ, have been bought to live every day with this one thought: How can I please my master?"
