No I believe it, I just dont get how. But we dont have to understand every single thing we believe, do we?

no we don't.. God has meant for us to not understand everything we believe in.

I think this is where God wants us to trust and rest in Him that He is in control and has taken care of every detail to make our Salvation sure so just rest in Him SoulWeaver. We don't understand everything about God's ways. I know in the last two years He has really had me resting and trusting in Him and it is a good place to be.

[h=1]Hebrews 2:14-18[/h] [SUP]14 [/SUP]Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

if we had to comprehend the mind of God to believe Him, we'd be in BIG trouble. :)

Lately I wondered about that one and the one saying tempted in all points as we are.
How does Jesus understand it fully if He never sinned :confused:
Hey Sister. While He never sinned (gave into the temptation He faced), He surely was tempted in every way we are. Thus He is able to understand how we are tempted, and to provide "a way to escape" said temptations. He is the "way" by the way. :)

One does not need to sin to understand that sin is bad, or to understand the power of temptation(s). Additional comment is, of course, Jesus is God, and knows all, so He is easily able to understand all we face in this life.

God bless you.

That's why it is called FAITH! You know the Scripture............."the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen........" We walk by FAITH not by sight (understanding).

God bless

Romans 12:9 .) Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 .) Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 .) Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 .) Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 .) Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
14 .) Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 .) Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 .) Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

A coworker in the neighboring shift just came and attacked me for no reason today when I was to go home.

He kept saying that I had something against him, or that I look at him wrongly (meaning, disliking him). Dude, I've never done anything to him, nor do I pay attention to him. I barely say good night when he takes the shift and that's all... I said that I had nothing against him, that's in his head, but he kept arguing. I went into another room, he went after me and kept yelling this lunacy...! Finally it angered me and I said I've done nothing to him and didnt need to listen to that load of garbage after a hard working day...

Others told me later he is a little crazy and that such has been happening before with others and he has weird insane moments like that and likes to argue...

Please pray that this is resolved and that he leaves me alone... really dont need this. I think my blood pressure went to the stars!

I am so sorry that he did that to you. I actually had something similar happen to me once. I was at church and one of the elders took me outside and started putting down my dad to my face and my dad wasn't even there. I told him it was inappropriate for him to even discuss my dad to me. It actually caused me to break down and start crying because my dad didn't do anything to him and lets just say that was our last Sunday at the church. I will be praying that this situation gets resolved and quickly. Just remember that "God is in Control". I love you Soulweaver because you always give great advice and I know that God will not let you down and he is always on our side.

Wow, that is not right in either situation.
Soulweaver, don't let him get to you... I have dealt with interesting people before. I always laugh about it later just because I think back and realize how much it made no sense. I will be praying for you.

That makes two of us. I have had to step in at work before because a customer was harassing a female. He was saying some totally inappropriate stuff, I couldn't believe it. Sadly I have made quite a few enemies by sticking up for others being harassed...

I just want it to stop because it provokes me to lose patience and it's bad... I dont want extra temptation at the end of the workday when it's harder to resist it... and I know what this is... I was lately trying to pray as I work more... so when you're spiritually trying to go up, the devil stirs up people to cause you to stumble. So I'm asking for this argumentative demon to be bound or God to otherwise instruct me how to deal with him. So far He has brought a Scripture to me "agree with your enemy"... denial with this guy wont work, I need to tell him is that I do have a problem with him and when he says aha what is it tell something along the lines I didnt get my chocolate fix today, where's my chocolate... hopefully he gets it's a joke... lol

hang on....let me make a pot of tea.

i adore weird stories. :)
I would say the weirdest was one guy went crazy during one of my classes. Two females didn't say anything to him, but somehow he got that they thought he was mentally unstable and a danger to people. Everyone was freaked out especially the poor females stuck beside him. This was all before the professor arrived. I helped them, then I ended up eventually becoming friends with that guy. I ended up in a different college class with him and most were scared of him and talked about him. One class I went in and sat next to this guy...he ended up immediately getting up and moving away from everyone because he hated people. Apparently he was bullied all through school and just needed a friend.

SW, i think (maybe?) sometimes stuff like that also happens when the Lord is refining us.

as a friend of mine says, 'the problem with dying to self is it feels so much like dying.'

that's certainly been my experience.
:rolleyes:
