Have you ever wanted to be pure, so good and without any selfish pride or deceit, all you thought, said and did was without the stain of humanity?

Come on, wouldn't that be cool, to only have pure thoughts and actions? Did you notice though, thinking it would be cool almost makes it seem selfish and poorly motivated?

Here is the thing, we are humans governed by a system that yearns to satisfy self and to react and respond accordingly. This is where He comes in. The ONLY ONE who is able to be pure, the One who will bring us home has greater governing authority and power. If we are to have any hope for our wretched estate, it is in Him. Get this, by believing in Him, by receiving Him, living waters, yes powerful thirst quenching goodness, His, will flow from our hearts. WoW, thank You Lord!!!

On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, 'Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'"

I believe that we are defined by the struggle that is eventually overcome by the grace of God. Spiritual growth is not possible if God places a hedge around us thereby protecting us from the ways of the world.

Peace will come the day we are with the Lord but until then we must persevere and continue to fight the good fight. Of course, this is best done without selfish pride and deceit but that too comes from a willingness to allow the Holy Spirit to comfort and guide you in your spiritual walk.

You are correct in saying that are only hope is with Him, and this is blessed assured hope that requires faith in the evidence that is yet unseen. I am very much looking forward to the 'great feast' but until then it's feast or famine.

Even Jesus wept when He was walking the earth. I believe that overcoming the struggle defined Him as well even though He was fully God and fully man.

The rivers of living water are indeed pure. In the meantime the best we can do is bottled water.

Yeah, I know that He is our only hope. Well said. I just think won't it be cool to be driven by Him alone? I am soooo not close now, but i am so grateful we have Him to lean on, to help us grow, to show us mercy, and to help us through our ways.

The closer we get to Christ the more clearly we can see our imperfections. We groan within to be changed and made like Him.

Every believer should have a desire to be holy as Christ is holy.

I like that, the more we get closer to Him, the more we realize how limited we are in and of ourselves. I agree. I think that you are so right and why we yearn to be holy as He is.
