I have completed the Study of the N.T. concerning "baptism." I believe it is a complete record from Scripture, however I may have missed some. If anyone realizes that I have, please add them to the appropriate comment on the thread. You will see that I broke the Study down Book by Book of the New Testament.

This thread is for the purpose of discussing any thoughts we might have concerning the Scriptures I recorded.

Thank you all for being my brothers and sisters in Christ!\

May God bless and keep you and yours..........

One thing I found interesting is how “baptism” is spoken of in the four Gospels…..All four of the Gospels record the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist. While they may vary somewhat in their wording, they all made record of this event.

Matthew and Mark record the conversation between Jesus and James and John, the sons of Zebedee, with regards to their being “baptized” with the same baptism of Jesus. Luke and John do not record this event.

Matthew, Mark, and Luke record the account of Jesus being challenged by the chief priests and elders concerning His authority, but John does not record this event.

What we refer to as “The Great Commission” is recorded in Matthew and Mark, but Luke and John make no mention of it.

Only John records an interesting account of new believers being “baptized” by the disciples.

Jonn 4:1) When therefore the LORD knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, 2 .) (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but hisdisciples,) 3 .) He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.

And these are the accounts of “baptism” in the four Gospels. While there may seem like several events, there are actually only four events that occur:

1) The baptism of Jesus
2) The Great Commission
3) The authority of Jesus questioned
4) The account given by John of the disciples baptizing new believers.

Not that this is any great revelation, but I was a bit surprised by this fact. For whatever reason, I thought there would be many more references in the four Gospels concerning baptism than there actually are.

Quoted from The Vatican
"They claim to be the vicar (the substitute) for Christ when Christ came specifically to ABOLISH substitution, except for himself alone, and Christ said, "I will come to you." (John 14 v 18) "I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." (Matt. 28 v 20). John (the disciple that loved Jesus more than all the others) wrote in 1 John 2 v 27 "But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you."

Christ said that HE would be with you always and HE would come personally to you, IF you do what HE says. So why would you prefer a substitute? The only possible reason can be because HE doesn't come to you because you want to dis-obey HIM and obey the substitute (fake) because it is a "quick and easy path".

John the Baptist said that Christ would baptise people with FIRE. So why do the substitutes baptise with water? Water puts fire out.

Why do they go backwards to using water like John the Baptist used, as though Christ had never come? It is because they have NO fire because THEY are FAKES. "

The Divine in me

"It is not "
I" that lives but Christ lives in me (Galatians 2:20). It is not "Self" that lives but "Christ" lives in me. It is not "Self" that lives but "The Anointed One" - the One whose head/mind is anointed with the "Oil of Understanding" - the oil that lubricates the "seized-up" mind and gets it working again, understanding the TRUTH or WORD of God. It was, or is, "seized-up" because "Self" was, or is, jamming-up the works and blocking the channel through which the Holy Spirit can flow to "lead you into all righteousness" and wash you clean from inside, as it flows through you and then your "cup overflows" to others, to wash them clean with the TRUTH and the Light of understanding, that the now "working mind" receives in a Life united with God, its supply of understanding; oil and Light. Then the Light of understanding with its "shield of faith" (Ephesians 6) effortlessly and painlessly conquers the fear and darkness of ignorance (given by Satan and maintained by believing his lies) that lives in you. God thereby teaching you, from within ("in-tuition"), to be like Him, so that you need no man to teach you (1 John 2:27) because his "Self" will get in your way. Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father Which is in heaven IS perfect."
