Check this out if you want to feel your skin crawl...

Incubi and Succubi: Sexual Relations With Demons
Joy of Satan Ministries? I don't know if my skin can crawl much when I'm laughing that loud.

I know you posted it seriously, and forgive my reaction, but this does open a whole new arena of witchcraft that I seriously doubt would work as described, even for them. There is no joy in Satan. This type of practice is almost a sure ticket to the funny-farm on earth, as well as hell eventually.

I wrote this to danschance. Let me try to get you updated. There are four kinds of sin. See Ps. 51 for a little study. They are all ways we "fall short". God wishes to heal them all, and Jesus leads us to healing in all. The steps in healing are not all the same. We may need to be made aware, we may need prayers of the saints, we may need to change our attitudes, we may need to work on behavior, etc.

Incubus and succubus are from the medieval archives, they are not in the Bible. They are supposed to be demons that cause sexual dreams. An incubus manifests as a male and tempts women, and a succubus manifests as a woman and does the same for a man. There were considerable arguments in the middle ages if these were a sin for people who had them. There is no guarantee these demons even exist; many commentators think they were a product of the culture. The same culture produced the term "nightmare", based on the idea that demons such as these rode the person like a horse.
I heard that "mare" is the name of a demon spirit which oppresses people while they sleep and that is where the term nightmare came from. Anyway, I do believe that sucubi exist. I have had, on more than one occasion, beautiful looking women manifest into extremely morbid and demonic looking creatures during intercourse in sexual dreams. I believe that I was shown this to let me see these dreams for what they really were. Now that I am aware of what they are and pray for God to protect me from them in my sleep, they still try to seduce me but are unable to.

Incubus and succubus demons do in fact, still exist today and it is a very serious problem for some. More women than men have problems with this and freedom from it is hard to achieve. Many women who suffer from this, do so in silence as they do not know who to turn to. Today it is often referred to as "Spirit husband" or "Spirit wife".

I knew one woman who was being rapped by a demon pretending to be Jesus. As she went to a pastor for help he told her it was a great honor for her and to allow it to continue. Can you imagine that??

This woman certainly had a problem, and needed for that pastor to help her stop the dreams. Like anything though, I would be careful to just automatically assume these are demons. This could have been a sign that some psychological based marriage counseling was called for. The biggest problem in assuming these are either always demonic or always psychological, is that too many people specialize in one method to the exclusion of the other. Jesus tells us you have to clean the house after the demon leaves, and teach the person how to keep it out. It sounds like maybe that pastor had a problem in his own sex life too, for him not to have recognized the woman's report as a cry for help.

Agree with Kenisyes. Think there is an interlink between psychological and spiritual and often not all one or the other. I must admit though I wonder what could cause a woman to dream of rape in such a vivid way though if there wasn't a spiritual element involved. Drugs maybe? Am not even talking illegal stuff. I met someone once who mixed antibiotics with alcohol and had vivid hallucinations

Alternate theory: Some people feel a great deal of guilt about having sex, usually for something in their past that was either sinful or they were wrongly told is sinful. If she has trouble accepting sexual love from her husband, she might feel the guilt being dissolved if Jesus would give her sex. But that is not only adultery against her husband, but clearly impossible physically anytime after 27AD, and also would be conisdered by most to be highly disrespectul, even blasphemous. Because of any of these things, Jesus must take the initiative, and overrule any such "opionions of men", and thus she must imagine the rape if she is to overcome her aversion to her own husband. Scripturally, she needs to understand that a woman is blessed by a Christian husband's love, as Jesus dwells in the husband, just as a man is blessed by the presence of Jesus in his wife, helping her love him with Jesus' love. If this theory is correct, normal psycholgical therapy should reveal it. Then, the demon can be dealt with through normal exorcism methods. There would be little point in an exorcism until the problem is solved, as her subcoscious would be simply inviting the demon back.

This is from a dream dictionary:

"To dream that you have been raped indicates vengeful or resentful feelings toward the opposite sex. You feel that you have been violated or that you have been taken advantage of. Something or someone is jeopardizing your self-esteem and emotional well-being. Things are being forced upon you. Dreams of rape are also common for those who were actually raped in their waking life."

So maybe it is a natural dream but I agree that dreams can have a supernatural component either divinely or from the demonic.

The need to have the dream is probably natural. If a demon did not try to jump in, that would be surprising. Scripture is pretty clear that Satan is on the prowl looking to devour people. Normally, you have to be ready to treat both. The demon will leave, but come back, if the need to have the dream remains. And treating the need will not get rid of the demon, because Jesus says that even once the house is swept, the demon comes back with many others.

No worries Ken, you know I'm a fan, and I'd share a chuckle over it with you except for two things -

There are, sadly, people who seek out and have these experiences and yes it is a straight ticket to hell.

There are people who believe this kind of thing is entirely appropriate for a world under the rule of Christ

I agree with you completely, Ricky, and am as concerned as you, but I see a light at the end of this tunnel.

What I find so funny is that real witchcraft does not work this way. Most sorcerers would stay away from this kind of thing, as it is too likely to substitute fantasy for what they consider the real thing, and thus pull them off the path they wish to follow, exchanging servitude to Satan for power. This process is instead a path to hell right here in this world, as the fantasy world it creates is likely to get you drugged up and into a "rubber room" within a couple of years, long before it gets you into the real hell forever. I tend to worry less about something like this, that causes insanity that society is set up to treat, than I worry about real witchcraft which is considered a normal religion, does not usually drive people insane for many years, is left alone by society, and hence is effective in multiplying Satan's effect on earth.
