The OP claims that Trump said he was going to bomb an airfield, which he did, but that since he warned the Russians so they could remove their planes - thus avoiding WW3 - he lied.

Not much logic there, but that is the claim of the OP.

The only president to leave office, avoiding impeachment, was Richard Nixon, IIRC. It USED to be thought that lying to the American public was an impeachable offense.... (high crimes and misdemeanors)

However, Bill Clinton raised lying to an art form...and was ignored by the press... Obama continued that tradition in fine fashion, with the same results... and as was mentioned, Hillary would have been the worst of all of them...proven most recently in her tenure as SofS. In any sane society, she would be in prison for all of her peccadilloes..

The only difference is that the press gives all of them a free pass... no questions asked.

If a conservative said "I had eggs for breakfast yesterday", they would be all over themselves fact-checking and accusing him of lying when they found out he also had pancakes...

It does not take a genius to lie. And then again if one lies knowing it's a lie while believing the lie is true need psychiatric help before he harms himself and others around him.
