Law and Order Special Victims Unit. I'm not watching right now but I watch it every time it's possible because I like it very much and it's incredible but it helped me. I was so bewildered and I didn't know what to do in the following days after the rape by a stranger in a metropolitan subway (I still remember it was saturday may 17th 2003 about 7:30 am). During those days and nights I couldn't sleep so I watched TV and it happened to me to watch this TV show (I didn't know it, it was the fist time). Through watching it I understood what happened to me, I awaked from my shock and I go to police to report the rape. Eventually I suppose that God used this TV show to help me to go through that bad period. TV show was useful to let me begin a search about rape and abuse to understand what I had faced in family's home and that I'm not guilty because of it. I like and admire especially the actress Mariska Hargitay a woman who uses her popularity to help abuse and rape survivors every time she can. She also founded an association named Joyful Heart Foundation.
