I live in Pennsylvania, it's January 12th. Normally we would be sled riding today, but instead my kids were on there swing set because it's 55 degrees today. I also noticed little sprouts already starting on my lilac Bush. I don't want another bad lilac year.

It's quite cold here in northern Nevada today. We used to have big lilac bushes (as tall as our barn) when I was growing up in Iowa.

I wonder if it's going to be another warm winter here. It was a nice break, but it screwed up a lot of the vegetable growing Times and There was a lot more illness than usual. However I grew great tomatoes and strawberries. So we take the good and the bad.

It must be a little shock for you in Nevada though.

We get a little of everything here. It doesn't usually get as cold as it did in Iowa, but I didn't have to drive up a mountain through the snow to get to work in Iowa, either. I'm happy where I am, though.

Take care of yourself - a serious strain of the flu is going around.

I think its just part of the short warm streak, here in NC we were in the 70's today. But in the next day or two the high is going back down to 40's, so likely your temperatures will drop as well.
