I had a peaceful Christmas with my daughter, her boyfriend and a friend of mine. I love to give and I am thankful to receive when given to. My wish for family and friends is that they would come to know Jesus like the friend and savior I know Him to be. Because of my confusion as a Christian earlier in my life - I'm afraid I helped confuse my daughter in her beliefs about God and she is not sure He exists, at least that is what she has told me. She and I have a great relationship as mother and daughter and I pray that she will come around and accept Jesus as her savior, also her boyfriend and my friend.

So even though my group of people are not of the same beliefs we still had a joyful time together.

mine was peacefull pretty much, but kind of sad as a family dispute led to everyone not getting together as usual.
GB9 ~ We all probably can relate to that. So that being said, I want to say
God bless you for being able to stay positive in a difficult situation. The Lord
knows the situation, and it is with prayer for the dispute , He can do what
we often can't to make it better. I see you keeping your eyes upon Jesus.
That will bring about much peace and harmony ~ God bless you always ~

We will pray and believe the Lord is going to unstop deaf ears and open
eyes to see He truly exists. I believe through you and your loving acceptance
they will see Christ. I pray as scripture says, God to give you a word in due
season. I believe He is saying the Harvest is ripe.

I pray you will have the opportunity to speak with you daughter again when
God gives you the nudge. You will know when the door is open. One thing
we learn is not to push it open, but to let Him open it for us. I understand
where you are coming from. I am a firm believer when our children become
at an age they have to find Christ for themselves, not based on the way we
taught them. I mean, in a Christian environment we will see them seek the
Lord for themselves. Hold on and believe. I pray she will find a Christian
mate to date. If the one she is dating now believes, may the Lord bring that
to the surface. Our young people are living in a day of confusion as it is,
aren't they ? So, please don't be so hard on yourself, accept the Lords
forgiveness. I went through issues I found hard to forgive myself for, and
I realize it is often hard to put behind us. It sounds like you are blessed with
a wonderful relationship. I believe with you those you lift up in prayer, will
be dealt with as the Lord deems best. God bless you and may your New Year
of 2014 be one of great testimonies... ~

peaceful?...mmm...do you mean at heart?? also apart from the 'godly' part of Christmas, that is remembering the birth of Christ and all related, I must confess that the whole Christmas culture of you know, get togethers (to eat mostly) and gift giving and what not kinda just puts me off (and I mean that in a nice way)...would you consider that a problem or rather do you think I have a problem? I fear I might be turning into an uncle scrooge...well in this case an auntie scrooge...please let me emphasize the part where I said excluding the godly part of it...

God bless!!!
That was a great question you asked. Peaceful ~ Well, I actually was thinking
more along the line of the song 'PEACE ON EARTH GOOD WILL TO MEN' You
know the song. Seriously, Peaceful in your heart would be a place Jesus
wants to live. Then we have peace toward all people even in the most
confusing times. I pray your cold gets better and may you know the PEACE
Jesus offers freely to all. ~ God bless ~

Mine was peaceful. Since I am a Mom of 2 young kids Christmas morning is a lot of fun for them and us. I've talked to my kids about God and Jesus since they could understand, but this year my Son had a lot of questions for me regarding Christ's birth. I did tell him that no one know's the exact date and we should celebrate his birth everyday. Not with presents but with our actions.
Fenner: That was what we did with our children on Christmas morning.
It is good to know you are doing the same. That is the most important
part of Christmas and you will be blessed for it ~ I like the part where
you share with them the fact 'it is not with presents, but with actions.'
Now, if we as adults would take a lesson from that and put it into
practice, what a wonderful world it would be ~ Amen? ~ God bless you
and yours in the New Year 2014 ~

Mine was peaceful. It was a little crazy GETTING to that peaceful day, but once we were there, it was quite delightful. For the first time in years, it truly felt like a blessing to spend several days together as a family, rather than feeling like a challenge or a mere obligation.

As for me, I consider myself to be a giver...I can be a very poor receiver, perhaps due to my pride. My family has never been super-gifty, and as a result, we maybe all give each other one gift, if that. But I really wanted everyone to be comfortable and welcome in my home, so I worked hard to get the house prepared, to make sure everyone had a place to sleep. I cooked breakfast for everyone each morning, and cooked the Christmas supper. It's in things like that, that I consider myself a giver...not that I present those that I love with things necessarily, but that I like to do things for them.

Ahhh, I see a Martha serving Christ in you. You remind me of her so much.
She was all about seeing to others needs, and not so much for herself. That
my friend is a gift people will always remember you for. Such a blessing ~
May the Lord bless you and all you do in His name as you begin a New Year
2014. I pray many blessings to come to you ~ Amen

Christmas was completely different for me this year. It was my first as a Christian:) So, of course remembering Christ was more important to me this year than ever before. I cannot give Him enough praise and glory.

I am a giver and always have been. I love it when I find that perfect gift for someone. But, I am a gift giver throughout the entire year. If I see something that I know someone would like, I get it for them. I honestly don't care if people give me gifts. I have already been given the greatest gift of all.

Yes, I had a very peaceful Christmas. Thank you so much for asking.
Your quote reminds me of the scripture, 'It is more blessed to give than receive.'
I know the Lord must be rejoicing knowing you put Him first and share what He
has done for you. What a great testimony. The gifts given from the heart are
always remembered. I know when I see a gift that was given me, I remember
she ( my best friend ) gave me that. Or another knick knack, or plaque and I
remember my daughter gave me that.

God bless you for being a giving person and may your New Year be a blessed
one ~
