I was watching the Andy Griffith Show. At the end of the show, it gave the name of all the people behind the scenes. You know, people like the
camera man, light man, sound man, costume designer, stage man, writers. producers. And I realized that if it weren't for all these people, the Andy Griffith show wouldn't be at all.

What about the people behind the scenes of the church that you attend?
People that runs the bus ministry, or people that go door to door inviting people to come to church? You have people who greet new comers coming into the service area. You got the ladies who work in the nursery. You have the Sunday school teachers, the song leader, the piano player, the organ player, the testimony leader, all of the prayer warriors. These are the people that help your minister to do his job.
If it weren't for all of these people working together, would you even have a church at all. Church is just not the preacher, it's everybody working together!

It's true. As someone who has done make-up artistry in private films, I can tell you it's a thankless job. It really is the same way in churches. This next week, let's all try thanking one of those behind-the-scenes people at our churches :)

Were just praying last night for this very thing.

There's about 1200 Pastors gathering from around the world for an annual conference, and whenever these events draw near, many of us are reminded to make sure that we're not only praying for the pastor/teachers and their families, but just as important are those working behind the scenes to help these kinds of meetings come about, and run smoothly.

The travel people/airlines etc., food service workers, hotel staff, janitors, maintenance, etc., also, the ppl working behind the scenes at the respective churches, ppl filling in while the senior pastors are traveling, then there's the congregants of those churches around the world, prayers for their protection and unity, as they await their pastors return with fresh insight, teaching, revival......

So much can go wrong, and the ppl behind the scenes are there as stop-gaps, and also a form of 'first-responders' in the church that often may never get noticed UNTIL something actually DOES go wrong, then they are often either right there as the first to fix things, (or the first to get blamed, ack).

Yes, we need to support them in prayer and don't forget to thank them, and thank the Lord FOR them, before and after, and I pray that the Lord would find a way to use ME in some capacity within the body, behind the scenes, or wherever, as I feel pretty useless these days, but I don't just want to muscle in where I'm not wanted, needed, or called to be or do.

Thank you 'behind-the-scenes' people, may God bless and reward you richly, and thank you to the OPer for this valuable reminder.
