that God's people have thankful hearts
i've been meeting with a certain home-group for about 2 years now; since the beginning it's been on my heart that when the 'leader' asks for prayer requests, they were always "requests" -- not praise, or gratitude. so i never asked for any - i always tried to say something good that God had done for me that week. and prayed myself that this would change in their hearts.
in the last 6 weeks or so though, the man organizing & 'leading' the group was led to start with us a workbook-type study on prayer, which in the last 2 weeks has stated to focus completely on thanksgiving -- and now at 'prayer request' time, several people have been voicing aloud what i had kept silent about, speaking only to God in my heart about - that we should be thanking Him, praising Him, not just coming to Him with requests for this and that!
He has worked, His right arm is strong, we need only to trust and wait, and watch.
last week i said, "when we have requests for this one and that one that we love, that God would heal them or be with them -- i am thankful just for the fact that we have such people in our lives, that we love, that we would ask God to protect and heal and be with -- they are a gift to us, to have them in our hearts to love!"
i love all of you. i am thankful God has put you in my life, in whatever small way!
