Oh wow...I found a guy online playing it for family members and i was able to focus on the higher pitches in the word and suddenly I COULD hear yanny...I can only hear laurel in the clip Mel posted, but I was able to go back and forth in the other clip i found.

And I just played it for my dog. He didn't hear laurel OR yanny. He just kept hearing: cookie, cookie, cookie....

I listened to a whole bunch of different vids; on most of them I heard "Yanny"

Kind of makes me think of the tower of babel...and exactly HOW did God confuse their language...It really could have something to do with the ears rather than the language...

I can oddly switch back and forth from hearing yanny and laurel both on the one I found. It was freaky.

I thought of posting links to the different vids I listened to with a corresponding "Yanni" or Laurel" depending on what I'd heard on each particular vid, but it seemed like too much work LOL :D

I heard Laurel until it was speed up 5 times, then I heard Yanny.
The radio show I heard this on, the male host age 40 heard Laurel. His female assistant heard Yanny.
So you think it’s got to do with genders?

Looks like a new 2018 meme has arrived...

Anyway...I hear Laurel. Am I seriously that old? :/
Wow, really ? Apparently majority of the younger people (millennials) hear Yanny lol.

I hear Yanny, what sounds like a type writer or someone clicking something, and something or someone making a brushing noise like someone in jeans moving on a fluff type couch.
Oh I get it now, lol, the rustling sound is actually someone breathing probably saying that word laurel yet saying Yanny with an overtone so as to put emphasis on it,because I can clearly hear someone clicking something like a machine.
And probably one more factor that's not hard to figure....
What settings you have for your device, for instance my phone is not "stereo" so I'm likely only hearing part not due to "so called" hearing loss but because the video maker made the video in stereo in which you must "listen to it" in "stereo" I had this same problem listening to "Yellow submarine" on my past ps3 which was also not "stereo" and so try as I did to hear the "lyrics" all I ended up with was the "instruments and tune" an old trick.
Yup, not surprised there :D

Feel free to - I wonder if that would change the opinions of those who heard it wrong (Yanny) hahhahahahhaha
