That's a good question. I never thought of that. Sleeping in Heaven I've thought about, but never dreaming there. I have wondered if Heaven has a day and night cycle, though.
I've thought about this too. The six day creation account in Genesis makes me think that there is a day and night cycle in heaven. /jmho

I believe that there is scripture that it will be a time of inestimable joy. We will never be away from the presence of Jesus again, for eternity.

What are things you enjoy doing on Earth that you hope you'll still do in Heaven? And what's something you aren't able to do or have trouble doing that you hope you're able to do in Heaven?

Remembering things lol. I hope in heaven, I'd get to remember everything I've been through here on earth, so I'll never forget how much Jesus has forgiven me.

I hope to be able to play my bassoon or sax to the glory of God in Heaven.

And I would run, dance and jump. To be able to do that again, would be worth all the hardship I have been through here on Earth.

Otherwise Heaven is such an abstract concept. Some said we would be naked in Heaven, and that alone became such an overwelming thought that I had to sleep it off. I stick with white robes.... So. If I can't imagine that, how could I understand how Heaven would be like, except being there where I have longed to be and yearned for over such a long time? It will be home. It will be peace and joy. It will be everything I find lacking in my life in abundance.

If, that is, God in his mercy lets me in.

I absolutely believe that we will enter eternity with our entire memory intact both good and bad.

Nah, there will be clothes in heaven. I'm gonna wear Levi's and a T shirt. God in His mercy and compassion will let you in. I have prayed for this and God hears and answers all prayers.

Truthfully, I do think heaven is about God, not us. And we will want to worship him eternally, not play games on our computers.

Sounds like your Hitting on seven cylinders, anybody with common sense knows Heaven isn't about playing computer games.

you don't think heaven is about God, then what is it about stuff bears with Santa outfits on.

We may eat and drink at Lords table in his kingdom, and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel KJVLuke22:29-30 29. And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; 30. That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

I have not read the comments here, but I've been in similar threads, and many of the Christians commenting say that nothing but worshiping God is worth it. They also say that whatever it is, it's going to be perfect. These are not helpful responses as far as I'm concerned.

And honestly, I don't know if they're right or wrong,. I once had a worship session that I could have let go on for quite a while longer than it did. But...

If God is going to be providing us with a diverse existence in Heaven, which is what I do expect, I (presently) hope for...

1. Being able to pursue artistic endeavors, using the gifts He's given me to create things I never could on this side of things.

2. Not needing food or sex, but having both available to us.

3. Being able to explore the universe.

4. Being able to eternally preserve memories and things that are currently nostalgic to me, but I doubt this one more than the previous three things listed.

That's all. I look forward to praising Him forever. What else matters?

I think a diverse existence with a variety of things to experience matters. But, that's just me :D

  • I play a little bit of violin but I don't get to practice it enough in this age, but since I'll be immortal in the next, I'll have plenty of time to practice and hopefully "git gud" enough to join an orchestra or ensemble or even just a wedding quartet.
  • This is for the millennial age when we will still have the oceans: Since I'll be immortal and animals won't be dangerous anymore, I want to scuba dive - maybe be a marine biologist. I've always wanted to do that but the dangerous sea life actually scares me in this age! I play a video game called "Subnautica" which has dangerous marine life in it. I though I'd feel fine about that but I actually have to call up the cheat code that keeps them from attacking me 'cuz they scare me too much, lol!
  • Play my backlog of video games (I know, I'm strange). Maybe record the gameplay or review and post the video to God's version of YouTube.
  • I would like to open up a bakery cafe and make it as cute, relaxing and welcoming as possible.
  • The bakery cafe would be right next to my arts and crafts store/stall. Not sure what I'd make yet but maybe handmade soap, or creative bookbinding, maybe some other fun papercraft.
  • Explore everything God has made and appreciate His creative brilliance.
  • Ask God a MILLION questions I've been wondering about. And hopefully, get all of it answered (some might be beyond my understanding though so....)
  • And most of all, just to be able to enjoy being with the Lord free of having to stress about the end times, and to finally be able to see God face to face without dying!
