I thought this could an encouraging thread of an everyday life of the Christian.

Today I'm making spaghetti sauce from scratch. This is a challenge as I do usually make my own but I usually have all the ingredients in the house like tomatoes, 1 jar of sauce or thickener, using canned tomatoes today. So, I got on line with some real Italians to see how they make the real bona-fide sauce. Using deer meat burger too. Now, here comes the fun part of my day. I'm making pasta with my new noodle maker that I got for $3.00 at a consignment shop (yeah me).

Okay, then schooling with child and watching the snow fall out my window. What are you doing today?

Okay, no one must be doing anything interesting.... Well my sauce is coming out great. Ran out in the snow to the herb garden and pulled up some fresh oregeno and Thyme. Yeah, it smells good. Spaghetti anyone....

My life is so lame right now. No job, no lady friend right now. The highlight of my day is having lunch with an old buddy of mine, then picking my son up from school. Lol. I'm grateful for my health and strength and that I have some money to hold me up for a while until I find another job.

I'll tell you from the world's eyes my life if lame too. However, the little things I think we do can bring brightness to our life. Hope you find a job. What do you do? Have you checked in with head hunters in your area? Really a lady friend would probably just bring you more grief unless you were going to make a true commitment. Go hang out with your son and his friends amazing what encouragement children can be. When I'm really low - I ask my children to pray for me. Since they were in Kindergarten. They are in college now but the prayers are soooo short, and sweet and perfect for me. Try it.

I am waiting for a phone call from my daughter's fiancée that might lead to some excitement. He is a city slicker. He discovered his garbage can in his carport knocked over a few days ago and some strange footprints in the snow leading into the carport but not out of the carport. He cleaned up the little mess that there was and then decided to pick up a tarp that he had tossed into the dark, scary corner in the dim recesses of the carports interior. As he approached the tarp it began to shake a little bit and of course he began to shake a little bit as well. When he came over the following day he explained his problem and there was a hint of hopefulness in him. Hoping that I would go to his place and check the situation out. Instead I devised a method whereby he could remove the tarp without getting to much involved with what might be lurking underneath. I gave him a my jumper cables, for quick attachment to the tarp, and a rope to tie to the end of the cables and I suggested he attach the rope, to the the cable, then quickly to the tarp, and then take the end of the rope into the house and begin to pull the tarp away from the corner of the carport. He came over yesterday and explained that the first tarp came off okay but there was another one underneath.
I suggested he have another go at the second tarp last night and if he had problems I might go over and check it out.

Ha Ha, this is exciting.Wear lots of padding and a mask (just in case). Any guesses at what it is? Skunk, coon, and why would it still be there? or maybe a possum. There was a possum in my coop a couple of months ago and I thought for sure it was dead as a door knob. When I went to get shovel he was gone.

I'm doing errands in Ccs (Petare) for my sister and getting my blood tests done while trying to find a doctor out who could check my heart quickly to see if I can receive the medical treatment I need to remove the Leishmaniasis I got from a mosquito who "deadly kissed" my left...

Shot a possum in the chicken coop when I was about ten. When I went to pick up the carcass the carcass skedaddled. My daughter took a picture of the prints and I figure it's a raccoon. She was all set to go and pull the tarp off by herself but I suggested it will be a great learning experience for her fiancée. I did warn him of the dangers of wolverines, rabid raccoons, mutated rats and the like and he knew I was just getting him worked up, which I was. He is a good guy though. No phone call yet so it appears there will be no excitement today.

I had to look that up. Okay, we are just coming to ask the Lord to do a quick work. Wow, I didn't know about that Leishmaniasis. Are there any alternative treatments until you can see the Doc?

coons can be mean, I've seen a dog attacked and had the hide ripped completely off his neck, and it was no small dog. Took about 4 months to heal. My daughter was attacked when she was 7 but our shepherd was with her and he killed it. She was shaking so hard she could not speak for 30 minutes.

How is your daughter with raccoons now? Afraid? If so that is understandable. I was attacked by a killer bantam rooster when I was a wee boy and to this day I still have a fear come upon me when I hear the ruffling of feathers. I did explain to my daughter's fiancée all the dangers involved and advised him to be cautious but I suspect the critter was long gone. He even put flour at the entrance to the carport to see if there was any activity. He is an accountant and I told him I was surprised he didn't use snow, what with the price of flour being a little steeper then the price of snow.

:)Well, she's a vet tech. They don't schedule possums on her day because she literally hates them and they don't schedule horse eye ball surgery, she dislikes doing those. She handles everything else. You be surprised at the different kinds of animals people have as pets.

Last night, I made Cauliflower Cheesy "Bread" and Cauliflower Pizza for the first time EVER and they were so very delicious! :)

It was a lot of work making the Cauliflower into rice, though. But, thankfully, we have a small food chopper, so I didn't have to do all the chopping or grating myself. :) The "Bread" took a long time to cook...around 50 minutes. So with prep and such, it is a timely thing, but so worth it. The pizza was a great deal faster, as the crust cooks for 15 minutes and the completed pizza broils for 3 minutes.

I was going to post photos, but alas, they are taking too long to arrive in my inbox, so that'll have to be later. Maybe I'll put the recipes in the recipe thread. :)

That sounds interesting....Do you have a pizza stone. They cook so nice on that. I can't imagine what that would taste like. Is it somewhat like carrot cake or squash bread? My daughter is supposed to make zucchini bread this afternoon but I think somehow she dodged that ball.

Okay I didn't care for my noodles, because I didn't have the right flour, mine was a mix of wheat, rye and white. Get the picture. But I decided that my noodle maker is really a glorified play-doh toy. It is sooooooo fun.
