You will agree with me that our God is simply amazing!!!!!
And He has all these great qualities that make you stand in awe and make you go like...WOAH...

What quality of GOD do you love the most, or intrigues you the most?
1.Your stated quality can come with a biblical or personal example.
2. Feel free to repeat a quality so long its with a different example.
3. Please mention one at a time only.

I pray that God uses this thread to show us qualities of him that we never realised which will enrich our prayers even as we magnify the Lord and remind (acknowledge) Him of who He is...thumbs up to our GOD!!!

God bless!!:)

He is TRUSTWORTHY.
Whilst in boarding school (over 800 miles from home) I suddenly got sick. I developed all these funny symptoms I couldn't understand. Friends were telling me they looked like HIV/cancer symptoms. That totally drained the life out of me.

I remember walking out of class one evening prep study and standing by the corridor balcony just outside class. There was no light on the corridor so I couldn't get anyone's attention. I stared up at the stars, trying to meet with God's eyes and softly but surely, with tears in my eyes I said..."God please don't let this illness be HIV or cancer or anything drastic like that."
Then I remember receiving the most assuring feeling like God was saying, you have My word for that! don't worry, Im with you...

More tears dropped for my eyes, its like I just let my tears do the talking. I sought school medical attention but they also didn't know what was up with me. I was referred to the main hospital where after these mental draining questions from the doctor, he just hit me with a prescription for an HIV test! aside a sack of pills and syrups. I was stunned...I had to trust God!

To cut the long story short, I took the test (had to do the whole counselling thing and I was 16 by then) and praise be to the Father it was negative!

I remembered my balcony prayer and realised how God had proven himself TRUSTWORTHY. To this day, He is someone I have realised I can always trust...:D

That he really understands each and every one of us. God knows exactly what we are going through and how we feel, even whenever things are terrible, and he still loves all of us and is always with us. Things can be very strange or terrible, or we may feel better than we have ever felt, and God understands all of it and loves us the same. That amazes me and whenever I'm having a hard time, I know God is right beside me.

His mercy. If it weren't for that I don't know where I'd be in my life.

What can we do without God's sovereignty? :)
It is my comfort.
Nothing in this universe is beyond His control.
Thus Him alone is worthy of all our worship.

Psalms 103:19 The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

Proverbs 19:21 There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Ephesians 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

The fact that He not only tolerates worthless beings like us, but He loves us and desires for "all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (I Tim. 2:4). He would have been completely justified in zapping the planet before Genesis got to double-digit chapters.

The fact that he keeps his word. He's my mentor and much more but I think this is what I love the most. If he said it he WILL do it. If it was spoken it will happen. If he makes a promise he will keep it. You can't find that level of dependability in anyone. There is nothing else in creation before God's word; everything starts with his word, and everything ends with his word. That's awesome to me.

Isaiah 55:10-11

10 "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater;

So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.

So I willingly put myself under bondage to that model; chained to that example. If I give my word, I will keep my word...or I will die trying.

He listens whenever he wants...

In my childhood I wanted to go to a mechanical park, almost a circus. I didn´t have the money (as usual) and some friends wanted to go too and, on our way to those attractions, I told them: Let´s pray! I believe He could give us some money to enjoy that park. We agree and prayed.
Soon after, on the sidewalk, we were finding money (coins). They were not spread, but piled up at certain distance. After taking the money, wondering what could have happened, we walked talking and founded out more, piled over the sidewalk (at least more than 3 times) I don´t remember clear... But I misunderstood that and said: "It was a drunk man who let them fall." What a stupid misinterpretation!

If it wasn´t not GOD, He used a person to do the miracle, but a drunk person seldom would do that to make some fun of several children who prayed from their hearts... Of course! That is possible, but GOD used any person if He did not placed those coins piled up.

He ALWAYS listens!

Rev21:3
2And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, 4and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."…

He loves us this much to tabernacle with us

No matter how many times I screw up, and trash on myself (His own creation). He is always there when I turn around, and He has never left my side even when I cursed His name.

God's infinite compassion... His personal love and care for us is so amazing. That he would send his Son to save us, that he would give us small signs everyday that he is thinking about us and that he knows our hearts, our desires, our weaknesses... on an intimate level. We are beloved.

Just today, I was praying urgently for wisdom about something on and off throughout the morning, and he sent a clear sign for me to give me peace and direct me forward. It baffles me that as I am going about my insignificant little life down here, he is watching over me and involving himself personally.

His silence. In my case, God speaks to me when I mess up. When embarrasment, frustration and sadness come to me....in that unbearable silence..He speaks...I do not know how...but He does.

I used to celebrate my Independance Day.
Now I celebrate my Dependance Day. Where every day is joyful than the other.

HE PROTECTS.
I remember whilst in my first boarding school, where we had these communal dormitories. There was a time the dorms had to be sprayed and all so we had to move our stuff from the walls. Between my bed and the wall, I had put my suitcase so the bed sorta like pinned my bag to the wall.

So that morning when everyone was moving their stuff,(beds and luggage from the wall) I started with moving my bed, then the suitcase. And upon moving my suitcase, I discovered that there was a large dark centipede, the largest I had ever seen! just on the wall behind my suitcase.
imagesCAVLEL27.jpg it looked something like this
I shrieked in fear!! and my dorm mates quickly came in and killed it.

I started thinking now and imagined what would have happened if I got bit by that thing...what if it crawled into my beddings...
the thoughts were unimaginable! I realised that the simple and mostly overlooked 'God protect me as I sleep' prayers stopped that thing from crawling only a few centimetres from the wall and into my beddings and biting me.

I don't know how it got there but one thing I know, God had His hand over me all the time that it was there...
I was really humbled by that experience and through that, God proved to me that day that yes He is the PROTECTOR of our lives!!!
God bless...

I love everything about Him. He is kind, caring, loving, compassionate, dedicated, forgiving.......I could go on forever.

His patience is one of the things that I would have to say I love the most. He waited over 40 years for me to see the truth. I know that is not very long for Him but, that is a long time for us. He is patient with me when I make mistakes, he is patient with me when I struggle with something in my life. Oh, if only I could be as patient as Him!

I just want to praise Him every single day for the rest of my life.
