Colossians 1:21-23New International Version (NIV)[SUP]21 [/SUP]Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of[SUP][a][/SUP] your evil behavior. [SUP]22 [/SUP]But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— [SUP]23 [/SUP]if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

2 Corinthians 4:1-6-- Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God,[SUP][a][/SUP] we do not lose heart. [SUP]2 [/SUP]But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice[SUP][b][/SUP] cunning or to tamper with God's word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of God. [SUP]3 [/SUP]And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. [SUP]4 [/SUP]In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, [SUP]7 [/SUP]for we walk by faith, not by sight. And the LORD will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem.”
