And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him.
Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for
‘In him we live and move and have our being’;
as even some of your own poets have said,

‘For we are indeed his offspring.’

(Acts 17:26-28)

Do not make friends with an hot-tempered person,
do not associate with one easily angered,
or you may learn their ways
and get yourself ensnared.

Psalm 133
How Pleasant to Live Together in Unity!
{A Song of degrees of David.} Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

but I preferred to do nothing without your consent
in order that your goodness might not be by compulsion
but of your own accord.

So if you consider me your partner, receive him as you would receive me.
If he has wronged you at all, or owes you anything, charge that to my account.

If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be.
Take care lest there be an unworthy thought in your heart and you say, ‘The seventh year, the year of release is near,’ and your eye look grudgingly on your poor brother, and you give him nothing, and he cry to the Lord against you, and you be guilty of sin.
You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake.
For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

Jeremiah 17

[SUP]5 [/SUP]Thus saith the Lord;
Cursed be the man that trusteth in man,
and maketh flesh his arm,
and whose heart departeth from the Lord.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]For he shall be like the heath in the desert,
and shall not see when good cometh;
but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness,
in a salt land and not inhabited.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord,
and whose hope the Lord is.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,
and that spreadeth out her roots by the river,
and shall not see when heat cometh,
but her leaf shall be green;
and shall not be careful in the year of drought,
neither shall cease from yielding fruit

19 [/SUP]And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. [SUP]20 [/SUP]And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. [SUP]21 [/SUP]Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.[/h]

Wow this one was so edifying thank you... I've read it as if Jesus was the one saying it. Treat everyone like you would treat JESUS because we are all made in God's image... Matthew 25:35-45

Luke 16:30-31And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

So true! :(

"And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened? Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?"

Romans 6:23 (KJV)

For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Such a simple verse, yet very powerful.

Now the men of the city said to Elisha, “Behold, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees, but the water is bad, and the land is unfruitful.” He said, “Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him. Then he went to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said, “Thus says the Lord, I have healed this water; from now on neither death nor miscarriage shall come from it.” So the water has been healed to this day, according to the word that Elisha spoke.
