A lot of grasshoppers here, because of the early rain i think.
So many that they were swarming.

I do poorly with humidity. O__O

I prefer 60-70's with nice breeze, no humidity. :)
You would probably do well in California, perhaps San Diego. I will send you a post card if I ever get there. Weather in Orlando: 90-95, no breeze, high humidity - except during thunderstorms of course. I got struck by lightning once. Vaporized my little dog.

Well, much of the Southwest is semi-desert, right?

Whereas the Everglades and their hinterland are more like monsoon and swamp....

I actually do enjoy San Diego and have considered moving there before. :)

You must love the sun, Ms. Raine; we were in Alberta recently and similarly it was a dry heat, out West.

You should have visited me, Farouk! It was thundering and raining hard today, but looking forward to clear skies in British Columbia tomorrow!

We changed planes at Calgary. We had good weather nearly all the time.

California is actually quite too hot for me O_O and lacks a good public pool system... But when you're by the beach it's not bad haha.

You are a swimmer/tanner, maybe?

Up here, Canadians only get a chance to be so for a few months of the year.

Humid this morning.

Now occasional rains. Its the nice kind of rain though, if you know what I mean. :)
This sounds like a cozy situation. Perhaps I get your "drift".

I'm not too far from Canada. I'm from Wisconsin and even though we only have 3 months of summer we have awesome public pools and Wisconsin Dells :)

California... You either need to have a pool or they have cheap water parks... Kinda disappointing especially when it's hot there.

I do not tan... But enjoy swimming very much. :)

I have been to Daytona Beach many times and that is an awesome place. I do not know the public pool situation there and will conduct further research.

When I was 17 serving in the U S Air Force I went swimming in the Pacific. I think there was a rip-tide warning that day. Perhaps I didn't care at the time. I am an expert swimmer and have no fear of the water. I may go back there one day.

"I wish they all could be California girls..." line from a song and not my personal observation.

I have swam in both and found the water to be freezing even in the summer. I still enjoyed it though very much.
Yeah, those waters are usually cold and I have only kayaked in them...
