You know what? When I have time later or tomorrow, I am going to post my friends diet plan. It is a intermediate level plan that still allows for biological healing. I believe it is doable for many people.
It is a plan that has been tested on literally thousands of people, and has been proven to work.
It is probably about the loosest most liberal you can eat and still be very healthy.

I don't believe one diet fits all people. Our bodies and genetics are different. The Bible even says that we should not judge others based upon whether they eat meat or not, if we do it for the glory of God.

It is true most people eat poison and don't realize it, but Jesus said that believers would be able to take poison and not be harmed. I see it as a part of God's grace.

We will live as long as God intends for us to live and should pray for God's guidance concerning our diet and other aspects of our lives,

We are way more alike then different. We all have 2 arms, 2 legs, one brain (well most of us) 10 fingers, etc.
We have hearts, livers, kidneys, lungs, cells, etc.
It is true that sometimes food and meds affect us differently, the common denominator is probably close to 85% to 90%.
The diet I am going to put out has been around since the 1970's.
It works on almost everyone who follows it.
I do not know the percentage, I would bet close to 97%, 98%.

It is true God numbers our days, but God also wants us to live well according to His design for our health.
God is not of the mind to shorten peoples lives. We shorten them, not Him.
In fact he originally planned on us living forever, remember?

Morning meal:
Pick only one.

1. Fresh fruit (up to 1 pound). Use a variety of fresh fruits from morning to morning. Can mix with up to 2 oz of raw nuts (soaked or not) one half hour later.
or 2. Fresh vegetable juice. (8 to 12 oz). Can be followed by 4 oz of raw unsalted nuts (soaked or not).
By fresh vegetable juice I mean juice that either you made in your juicer and drank within a half hour or a juice that was made at a juice bar in front of you that you drink in a half hour or juice that you purchased from a store that was extracted with a low speed juicer and that was made in the previous 2 days and that you drink within 12 hours or less. Obviously organic ingredients are always preferred. And with some people who may have certain health issues mandatory.
3. Whole grains (use only grains without glutton). That means no cereal, or bagels, etc. The whole grain only. Up to 4 oz. Steamed (better) or cooked in water. Quinoa and buckwheat are best ( they are really seeds, not grains) or millet or brown rice.
4. Granola that is glutton free and raw and that uses no sweetener. Up to 4 oz.
5. Smoothies or shakes that contain only fruit that are fresh. Up to 1 pound of fruit. Do not add protein powder. Can use water or fresh juice as a base. Can add up to 4 oz of fresh raw nuts. Prefer no sweeteners used. Fruit is already sweet. Do not mix dried fruits like dates and raisins and figs with citrus fruits.

Lunch:
These first 3 should be a part of every lunch.
1. Fresh vegetable juice. (6 to 12 oz)
2. Large green salad. Should consist of lettuce (try to stay away from iceberg lettuce, it is low in nutrients), cucumber, celery, peppers, plus 2 additional veggies you like. They all have to be raw. Nothing cooked. You can add a moderate amount of a high quality non corn or vegetable oil. Use your own vegan and raw dressing only. Very few dressings sold in the stores are any good. It is better you try to eat it as oil and dressing free as possible, if you can.
3. Pick 2 or more and eat as much as you want without overeating. Again, if you can eat it as plain as possible it is better. But I know some people have to add some tasted, so try Himalayan salt, and Tumeric or Cumin or a small amount of nutritional yeast. This is not the same yeast as bakers yeast.
If your still hungry after the above 3 helpings, pick only 1 other dish from below.
1. Raw unsalted nuts. up to 4 oz.
2. Brown rice, buckwheat, millet, Quinoa. The millet and brown rice should be steamed, or second best is boiled in water. The buckwheat and quinoa can be soaked in water for about 12 hours and then drained and eaten raw, or can be steamed or boiled. Or a helping of a glutton free pasta.
3. Acorn, butternut or spaghetti squash. Raw of steamed. You can make your own sauce of vegan and raw ingredients or buy a good quality sauce. A hint: usually if any thing you buy in the store has more then 4 or 5 ingredients, and /or are comprised of foods that you know are no good, or have elements in them that you can not pronounce or you know are synthetic foods, do not buy it.
4. Lentils, lima beans, or chick peas, or any high quality bean. Buy them raw and soak them yourself. In the winter you can also make a great soup with the beans mixed with fresh veggies if you like.
5. A glutton free bread that makes a avocado , lettuce and tomato sandwich.

Dinner:
1. Fresh Vegetable juice (again) 8 to 12 oz.
2. Large green salad . Same basic ingredients as lunch salad.
3. Steamed veggies. Pick 2 or more. Same as lunch, don't over eat on them.
And pick 2 from below if your still hungry after eating the first three.
1. Raw unsalted nuts, up to 4 oz. Sunflower seeds, Brazil nuts, almonds, pecans and cashews are all good, among some others.
2. A non glutton pasta. Again, choice a high quality sauce or make your own.
3. White or sweet potatoes. Sweet is healthier. Or yams. Do not mix with any protein, vegan or animal. And do not mix with any oil. Mixing with oil and/or protein causes fermentation among other problems. Add some Himalayan salt if you like, and healthy condiments if you like.
4. Brown rice (or millet or quinoa or buckwheat) and beans. 2/3 rice and 1/3 beans. Do not over eat. No oil added. You can add a high quality sauce that has not oil. And Himalayan salt and/or healthy condiments. Like with all of these dishes, do not over do it with the salt and condiments.
5. Fish. 4 to 6 oz. Steamed is best. Can broil or bake. Absolutely no shell fish. Can add oil if you like.
6. Chicken. ORGANIC GRASS FED ONLY. Steamed, broiled or baked. Can add oil. 4 to 6 oz
7. Turkey. ' " " " " " " " " " " ". 4 to 6 oz. Can add oil.

Do not mix starch and animal protein in the same meal.
Do not eat animal protein more then 3x a week.
No GMO's. Ever.

There is about a 10% margin of error on this plan. In other words, about every ten meals, or every 4th day, you can have something, a snack, or a small meal, that is off of it. But I am not talking about going out and eating a whole pizza or a 16 oz well done streak, or a whole quart of Haagen Dazs ice cream, or 3 bags of potato chips or a super large order of french fries. Use your common sense. If your relatively healthy. If you are with a serious or moderate disease, you will need to stick fairly close to it. Some ailments you would have to go on a stricter routine to induce biological healing.

You can do as little as one veggie juice a day, but not less. I would recommend ast least two.

The closer a healthy person sticks to it, the sooner they will see benefits. You may detox, in fact almost definitely will detox, on this diet. It may last a few weeks and be unpleasant. You may think the diet is not working because you will be feeling worse for a few weeks. But I assure, that is just part of Gods process of ridding your body of all the junk you put in it for the last 10, 20, 30 years. It's worth it to go through it, because you'll come out on the other end in considerably better health, almost all of you, no matter how healthy you may be now.

Most people are going to lose, if they are not overweight, from 5 to 20 pounds, depending on your frame and height. If your overweight, however many pounds you think your overweight, then your probably going to lose that plus another 5 to 20 pounds.

If you are considering doing this, keep in mind you may experience intense family or friends pressure. Be prepared. Pray. Make it a spiritual issue. I can just about guarantee you that if you make this a life style that you will not only experience seen and unseen healing, but your spiritual sensitivity and mental alertness will increase.

Your skin and hair and nails are going to improve. Your eyes may look brighter. You will have more energy. I am not exaggerating about these things.

NEVER microwave or grille.

One last VERY IMPORTANT key to this diet, and actually any healthy life style:,Do not eat past 7pm, really 6pm is even better. leave a gap of at least 12 hours between your dinner and breakfast, with not other meals or snacks in between. that means make it a habit. Every single day.
If you can once and a while or even more have a space of 15 hours between meals, that is even better. Your body will operate much more efficiently if you do this.

Any questions, feel free to ask here or to PM me.

a little share;

after our 'conversion', we were 'convicted in many areas', and eagerly went along with
what our Maker was teaching us, another words, 'how to live a 'new' and healthy and prosperous life',
prosperous meaning, walking into the 'unkown', the new and right things/paths, using our 'new Faith,
that He began to lay-out before us - so many steps we must walk to reach Holy Ground -
there's only The One, Jesus Christ, Who can call us, redeem us, Out of this 'fallen-world'...

ISA. 9:6.
For unto to us a Child is born, unto to us A Son IS given: and the government shall be upon
His shoulder: and His Name shall be called,
WONDERFUL,
COUNSELLOR,
THE ALMIGHTY GOD,
THE EVERLASTING FATHER,
THE PRINCE OF PEACE.....................................................................................................

I wrote that? Must have been a typo. Brown rice is a whole grain, not fractured and refined like white rice which has its bran stripped, so if I wrote that, it was a redundancy.

Oh my goodness that sounds so complicated and I doubt I can convince my husband to do it all. He just decided to join me in giving up red meat a couple days ago.

We are not one to waste food so I am going to have to go through my cabinets now and see if anything fits your rigid critique.

I am not sure your testimony of becoming a scarecrow is very inspiring for the 21 day juice fast.

How is your energy levels?

Would you be able to backpack 20 lbs for 10 miles in a day on that diet?

Sorry. i am just keeping it real. If it is your looks that is your main concern, then this is not for you. You can be a good looking person on this diet, I have seen plenty of people that are. I fact most look great. Your just not going to have much fat.
This is a problem with fasting. Some people can not stand the idea of looking rail thin for even 2 or 3 months. You do eventually stabilize though at a good healthy weight.

I have had people tell me thye would rather die then lose that kind of weight. And sadly, some of them have. Free will.
Anyway, you should not be fasting more then 3 days unless you have professional supervision. Do not do it otherwise.

This is about the most moderate one can do re diet and go into a good state of continuing biological healing. It's not for everyone.

So I took a survey of what I had in my cabinets and pleasantly surprised that we had quite a bit of food that fits.

Most we gathered for our backpacking meals and because I was looking for gluten free substitutes and non meat proteins because some of the kids had dietary restrictions.

Made a veggie juice from a tomato, a carrot, radish, cucumber, cabbage and put it away for lunch. Plan on having salmon and salad for dinner with the family. Need to find a good homemade salad dressing recipe and salmon recipe.

We will see how this goes. My family already thinks I am strange giving up steak and bacon. It will probably healthier to cut out processed food and learn to can veggies and make sauces.

So what is this detoxing you speak of? What should we expect?

PS. I could care less about my looks. I just prefer not freaking out my husband and not willing to lose energy because of my lack of eating.

I went through a month just eating a bowl of rice and a little fish and a few veggies for a month because of a stomach bug that didn't let me eat much without diarhea.
So the lack of food doesn't bother me. The loss of weight and lack of energy doesn't sound healthy.

I am being pulled back to my food roots, so to speak. I started eating American style meals in college, but my childhood I mostly ate Asian food my mom cooked. Mostly freshly grown vegetables at home and freshly caught fish and rice.

Your dietary restrictions are stricter, but many of the recipes I know would still fit the critique except you don't cook anything.

Not cooking anything might be a bonus for when we backpack because it would make some meals easier.

I am willing to test the diet for the Lenten season. If nothing else I can learn some healthy recipes and smoothie mixes and how to can veggies or make jam.

Its not hard and fast.
You can buy any fresh veggie or fruit you want. Any nuts you want. Just try and do a variety. You can add nuts and avocados to your salads if you want a make a super large salad as your only serving for lunch or dinner. You can use different beans, I am just telling you some of the more nutrient dense and healthier. You can add sprouts to your salad or even main serving. You can make a tasty dressing with lemon and and condiments and even a very small amount of oil if you want.
You have to be creative. Between the fall the different fruits and nuts and veggies and grains and fish and turkey and chicken and different types of seeds and sprouts and condiments and oils and the few sweeteners I listed, you have over 100 different ingredients to play with.
And the combinations you can use with them number, literally in the thousands.
One day you can do chicken with lemon and olive oil and thyme and basil.
Another day you can do chicken with flax seed oil and sunflower sprouts ( my favorite tasting sprout ) and grounded pumpkin seeds and nutrtional yeast (which is very tasty). In fact with the nutritonal yeast, and/or gound and powedred sesambe seeds and maybe some guar gum you can made a pseudo brerad type crumbs.
Its endless. Same endless.
You can go online and check out literally hundreds of vegan and vegetarian healthy recipes. You can even check out conventional recipes and just substitute. Use almond milk for regular milk. Use guar gum for any thickener called for.
Use Young dehydrated coconut meat (its not the same coconut as the round brown one) as a substitute for white chocolate.
You can use cashews as a base for vegan ice cream.
It is just a endless array of very tasty healthy foods that will improve your quality of life and likely add years to it also.

The problem a lot of people have with this diet is that it seems extreme.
To us, in this day and age it is extreme.
But remember to someone that lived in America as recently as 80-90 years ago, this was a normal type diet.
I keep saying, it is what you leave out of your diet that is most important. You can not eat poison in the morning and then eat good the rest of the day and think you ate well that day.

What you leave out is what ALL diets have in common.
The popular paleo diet, which is not a biologically healing diet, bis based on what you leave out. It is relatively not to bad compared to how people routinely eat and some to the other diets out there.

But when compared to the diet that God originally intended for us, the plan I posted has many more foods, but still leaves out enough of the junk to be biologically healing and sustaining. God would like at the diet plan I posted and say there are to many unhealthy foods in compared to what He originally intended. So its a matter of perspective.

I always come back to that we have fallen so far from how God originally created us to be spiritually, mentally and physically that what we deem as a "normal" healthy routine prayer life or dietary life style is that if it were not for Gods grace and love, he would call the way we currently live probably something like significantly devolved.

Human nature being what it is, we often look at praying a hour a day as a great sacrifice. We view the diet plan that I posted as a sacrifice and limiting.

But that line of thought is what is limiting, and also probably on some insulting to God.

It is a privilege and honor to have the opportunity to pray to God and to partake in the sustenance he graciously provided us.

Our problem is that we Christians generally practice a lukewarm level of spirituality and physicality that we believe is getting deep into Gods paradigm for us, but is in reality still way off. Now let me say I am not condemning anyone or saying that God does not love and appreciate our efforts. Obviously He does. I also am not implying that someone is unsaved if their praye rlife is lukewarm or if they eat a lot of junk. Not at all.

But I am saying a lot of us are saved, but not sanctified. Certainly not consecrated.

Everything God made has a holistic synergistic link. Animals can not live with out plants. People need animals for survival. People need each other. What we do to the planet affects animals and plants. How animals and plants thrive or go extinct affects us.

So I am saying that because God made everything inter connected, that eating well will almost definitely bring one into a higher level of God sensitivity and spirituality. Because this body God gave us houses the Holy Spirit. Because when our minds are clearer (which a good diet will instigate) then we will have a increased sensitivity to God.

We can be sensitive to God and have a relatively decent level of spirituality even a very compromised diet. So I do not want to be misunderstood here. What I am unequivocally stating here is that if you don't elevate your body and mind up to a higher level, closer to how God designed us re our potential and capabilitys, that your leaving a lot on the table.

If you knew your house was worth $400,000 you would not sell it for $300,000. You would not leave that much money on the table if you sold your house.

Why are we valuing our health and spiritual lives so cheaply then?
