Hi, my name is christopher. I was a christian for a long time, I became a bit disillusioned with it though for a while and I started going into the occult. I became a member of the Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.) a group started by Aleistair Crowley who referred to himself as the great beast 666. I have since started to gain my faith back in christ after witnessing some truly disturbing things in this occult order. I guess I just need some help and support coming back to the good side, as it has been hard to give up the things of the occult and the things I have gained from it.

Hello Crommy, When you said you denounce god, which god did you denounce. Because the true living powerful God is God with a capital G, if you get my meaning. God sees us as his children, and I'm sure you will know that children will say or do things when they rebel against there parents. I beleive thats how God has seen your denouncing, As long as you repent from the heart, ask for his forgiveness, ask for his strength and wisdom, and mean it.I know God will lift you up and put you back on the right track again.

God can forgive, and will forgive at his will. You have now witnessed and experienced both darkness and light. The choice is now up to you. Serve God, not a god. Satan has no power over you at all. The only thing he will try is to influence you and even he . God has took all power from Satan. But Satan does not want you or his followers to know. My advice is, you seen and witnessed and experienced How powerful God is, and how less powerful Satan is. Walk with the powerful. Satan is below you and will be for ever. I pray that God will give you wisdom to know what is right and to know what to do.

I don't want this to come out like "I know" or anything, but I've always heard that if you are worried about the possibility that you may have committed the unforgivable sin, then you more than likely haven't. That makes sense to me anyway, but Christ blood paid for our sins, I feel like He is reeling you back to Him from what you've said. I pray that He continue to pull you, and you keep seeking truth. We serve a very longsuffering and merciful God, all glory to Him. How many times have His people turned away? They try on their own until it hits the roof, then someone turns back and calls His name and He kept answering them. Though He is perfectly just and we can't forget that, He is also love on a level we can't even comprehend.

I think for the fact that you're back kinda answers that question. Christopher, it's very important to understand that God is the author and finisher of our faith. The scripture is very clear about the work of the Holy Spirit to convict and draw us to Christ.

Dabbling in the occult is a dangerous thing to do. Alistair Crowley is a satanist. What exactly are the "things I (you) gained from it (the occult"? There is nothing good to attain from the occult!! It is pure evil. I'm glad you're trying to return back to Jesus again.

Hi, I guess what I meant by gained from it was things like sexual freedom, material gains ect. Things that are hard to give up, but I do feel God pulling me back to him. As part of the oath I took in the order I had to denounce the God of abraham, all his prophets, jesus and the holy spirit as false and powerless. I guess thats the part that has me worried as I denounced the holly spirit which is said to be the unforgivable sin. At the time of doing it though I had completely lost faith that the holy spirit was even real.

You would have to be a mature Christian as explained in Hebrews 6:4-6 to truly fall from God’s grace and renounce the gift of salvation. Since you say you feel God pulling you back and you seem to have some conviction, I doubt you did the unpardonable sin as said in Matthew 12:31. Otherwise you’d have a reprobate mind (Romans 1:28). It just seems to me you did it in ignorance, like Paul was forgiven of (1 Timothy 1:13). But there’s no clear cut line to tell when someone has crossed that line, as it’s ultimately a matter of the heart, which God only knows God bless you!

I very much understand becoming under occult bondage! I even went through the baptism( and you know what that is( urine) baptism as this is considered selling ones own soul to the enemy! I was a member of the coven stated by Anto-le-vey in San Franscisco in 1966.
It took me almost 3 years to become a member,this cult is not just something you walk into! It is to this day most secret,and is without a doubt the Mount Everest of unbelief! Because of all the fear from breaking free, i was tormented day after day,by the enemy,my testimony here on my blog is living proof that Jesus Christ LOVES, and forgives all who were so stupid as i was getting involved with the world's power,and controling others for yourself!

One more point brother if i may,upon receiving Jesus as my Savior,the Lord in me wished me to give you this as he gave me,on that most wonderful day! This is Word, for word what i was told!! Sin's definition is: missing the mark or violating God's divine law in thought or in action. There are no levels of sin. No not-so-bad sins and then the really, really bad sins. Whether someone steals a pen from their employer, dabbles in the occult or whatever other mindset or act of defiance you can think of, sin is sin and separates men & women from God.
If you've committed the sin of blaspheming the Holy Spirit, I don't believe you'd be interested in returning to Almighty God. Because no man comes to the Father unless He call him. God is calling you back like the prodigal son. Jesus didn't tell that parable for nothing. Jesus wants us to know He is waiting for us to repent and return.
As for denouncing God, if you truly rejected Him, why are you interested in coming back to Him? Because you belong to Him by His blood shed for you. He is completing what He started in you. You are now waking up to that fact. Don't worry. Nothing can separate you from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.
Also, remember that it is not God against the devil. God is Creator and created the devil for a purpose. The devil has no power over the Lord. You must not worry about that. Dont ever let any man tell you that you are not forgiven for something... men cannot know that. You go directly to God on your knees. As others here, I doubt that you did the unforgivable sin.
Besides asking God for forgiveness, it is very important to get rid of all occult materials and any connections and ties with them and that life and completely stop with that lifestyle. I still remain unsure at the moment but have decided to stick with my fellow brothers and sisters of the ordo templi orientis. I will however keep looking into the bible and other christians posts on this wonderful forum just incase I find something in them that would make me change my mind and come back to christianity. I guess we are all different and all have our own path, maybe at some point in my life I shall return to christianity if that is my destiny, but until then I feel I must stick with my path.
