For a living I work in a library. Help out in a Baptist Church and another Fellowship. Good to meet you :)
The libraries in my area are struggling to stay open. I suspect that the internet has done them in. :(

I have fond memories of Library Days in Elementery School. :) The Librarian used to read stories to us. :geek:

Where do we find a group who are tired from their spiritual labors and therefore need support and refreshing? Where do we find a group who suffer simply because they are actual pilgrims, not because they are bored with their casual faith? Where do we find people who believe that you don't need great bible knowledge for important service, no need for constant searching and "dividing" the word, only to then argue out of pride? Where do we find people so busy following the many simple commands of Christ that they don't have time to argue over the more complicated passages? Where do we find servants, not spectators? Where do we find people supporting each other with real, personal, spiritual problems, not world events and philosophical wastes of time?
You will find some in Sydney Australia!!!

Me too! :giggle:

Yup! :D

...No!

Salvation is not like something that you take to the casino and gamble with. Salvation is not something that you take to the circus and juggle around with at the dog and pony show.

Salvation is something that you love and cherish and take good care of. It is the Pearl of Great Price. Jesus gave His very own life's blood to make it available to you. Satan tries to cheapen and devalue it with garbage like Calvinistic OSAS, but if one reads and studies the Bible, they will quickly see that Calvinism is a hoax and a lie. Satan has found that the easiest way to attack the Church is to plant dark seeds within it using false teachers in sheep's clothing.

Hebrews 10:
35Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 36For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. 37For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 38Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

The modern "Church" is in a sad state indeed. Few have any interest in fighting the good fight and contending for the faith anymore. Apathy abounds. :(
Hey Oyster! :D
So, based on this new information it means that there's more to Salvation than you've said in post 33, correct?

Would you like to send me a revised document now with whatever additional information that you think is required?

Let me know so we can talk some more about this spiritual topic that some of you Protestants like to treat like a legal or a technical document. This is why you use language like "Jesus paid the price" like this is some sort of transaction.
I especially like to discuss this you Oyster and not the thousands of other threads in this topic. I like you because you lack a lot of self-awareness and i wish i was more in-bliss like you, but no such luck for me.

:coffee:

No. Not correct. Justification and Sanctification are two separate issues, but you may pretend to confuse them if you like.

No. What I have already posted is more than sufficient for you. The Word of God is sufficiently clear for all of us. If there is confusion, it is on your end of the line, my friend.

And there it is. The mental block.

Welcome, Wsb!

Where you're at in Mexico, how much does the typical laborer have each day to live off of?
Thank you for the greeting,
I live south of Oaxaca city at the moment, however I have moved 13 times all over the state in the last 4 years. A typical unskilled worker makes about 1000 pesos per week full time. ( a little over 50 dollars). This has been steadily reducing and work hard to find since the pandemic. I know many personally who live on 3 dollars a day or less and this is possible without rent.

Oaxaca and Chiapas next to us are considered the poorest states in Mexico. The Pueblos out in the country and mountains are becoming more poor each passing day. However, it is hard to starve in Mexico. It is fairly socialist and help can be found for those that are not lazy. It's a hard life, but one can survive.

Indeed so! With the lunch club I mentioned above, the main limitation we have is attracting volunteers and helpers. Indeed we have been more than once in danger of closing. The Harvest is plentiful but the workers are few, therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest to send workers into the harvest field. There are many older and disabled folks willing to come in, have lunch and listen to the gospel. There are few indeed willing to serve them.

🎶 “it shall be worth it all
When we see Jesus” 🎵
Amen! :)

Sadly yes the internet has been a challenge to many libraries, but they are still useful as like community hubs and places for small clubs and societies to gather. A cafe in a library is a good way to improve footfall. I work for a University Library, so we're mainly for students, as long as they keep coming to study we'll be ok, God Willing :)

Very good,
I hope that you will share stories. We need to encourage others to labor always and show lives of commitment.
We are continuing.
Acts 5:42 KJV
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

Acts 2:42 KJV
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Matthew 11:4-6 KJV
Jesus answered and said unto them,
Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:

[5] The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
[6] And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Yes, God’s servants need to be refreshed by His word also.
If you enjoy a powerful (not emotional) message from scripture you are welcome to listen to our live audio on Skype. (No Video)
Either Gospel
Or teaching ministry
Etc.

I pray that God would raise up more men to build the House of God, because God is not building denominations.

Hebrews 6:1-2 KJV
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
[2] Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

1 Corinthians 3:10,13-15 KJV
According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon.

But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

[13] Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

[14] If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

[15] If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Amen, I pray daily that God show me my double minded motives in all that I do. I take this very seriously. Paul wrote how easily we are ensnared. I thank our God for your reminder.
