I don’t know much about chat—I spend my time on the forums. I do know that to get to the chat rooms, you click “chat rooms” in the upper left hand corner, and then click “chat now.” In the brief experience I had there, I think I was able to type, as opposed to talking. Perhaps there are chat rooms for both.
