Did Abraham lied when he said to King Abimelech that Sarah was his sister instead of his wife?

Yes. The story is pretty clear if you read it in context of his life.

Actually Abraham was technically telling the truth:

Genesis 20:12 “and yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife”.

So, she is his wife and his half-sister.

Yes, he did lie, because his intentions was to mislead. Giving only half truths, is still a lie. And oh, if you are new to CC, welcome.

Thank you all.The intention of Abraham was to mislead King Abimelech but he never lied when he said Sarah was his sister because truly she was his Half sister and at the same his wife.
God Bless you all.
