Hello everyone. Thought I should drop in and introduce myself.

I am currently going through some very trying times, and have lately found myself wondering about Christ and the bible. I was once (long, long, ago) a Christian, but my life habits, while certainly not heinous, have not been directed towards God for many years.
I'm not sure what it is I am looking for, direction or guidance, or maybe fellowship or even all three.
I do know, however, that I currently feel spiritually vacant and heart-sick. Please don't take this to mean I am a depressed person, I enjoy parts of my life, but there are other parts of it I want to put right, and I am hoping to find out how.
I look forward to meeting some of you on the chat rooms.

Hey Ballyduff! Nice to meet you... :) You will meet some nice people here, and will learn a lot. Speaking on your introduction: Yes, we all go through things in our lives and the thing that is the same in it all is when we focus more on those things more, we become shaky and our problems seem bigger than God. I know myself at times have been down on life etc... then when I started getting to parts where I would question God's existence it would scare me. I am a Christian, and those thoughts came to me? They sure did and it's from the Devil. He wants to get his hands on anything that could distract us, because even HE knows God has something greater. A plan for our lives we could never begin to Fathom.

Psalms 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and HE will direct your path.

I know its not always easy to do things perfectly or the right way or even putting a smile on our faces. God knows we are not perfect, and he knows we struggle but thats why we have Jesus who died, and for him to help us through the hard times. We also have our brothers and sisters in Christ who are willing to be there for you when you need it. :D I am one of those, as I'm positive there are many others here who can relate as well.
