i am trying to find god after being misled into a cult/s,and that same person who i thought was a friend
also led me to drugs and i was exposed to several types of illnesses...
i want god and a after life not hell and damnation.
i am currently using a alias to protect my self to i see if i am safe or my soul is salvageable,
please do not ask which occult i belonged to just know i walked out on them like i walked out on god.
now i miss my father in heaven and want him back, do i have any hope?

well i was in a the chat on this sight after a few people led me the right way to john 1:9, 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
thank you all for giving me hope i truly need it.

You left the Lord but he didn’t leave you—he is still there. We are to love him with all our minds, hearts, and souls, so do that, and do it now. Reach out to him.

I can so relate to you and in my town is at least one crazy cult and I seen a once good church become a cult in several years of time [is sad].. People do not realize what cults do to people I heard. I seen many things over years. Hope you do okay and get any help in here and if you need to talk to me do so..thanks

Hello Knull, and welcome to CC. As long as your heart is willing to seek God you always have hope. Jesus words to the Church of Laodicea, believers who had become lukewarm: "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me." Revelation 3:20
For our heart is really how we believe unto righteousness.
Romans 10:9-10
9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
