I never knew this site existed... just happened to find it. Now, my reason for the search is to hopefully gain insight about my current relationship. We've dated for a year and a half. I'm Southern Baptist. He grew up as a Southern Baptist but became Mormon about 20 years ago? What to do? Where can I find guidance in scripture?
btw.... marriage is NOT in the picture.

If marriage isn't in the picture then why are you dating him? Wouldn't you rather date someone whom had marriage in the picture?

I've been married twice. The last was pretty abusive. For the first time in my life I am not tied to a spouse and I like it this way. Companionship is all I'm interested in. But I'm having reservations about his kooky beliefs.

Well if it's just companionship and you aren't intimate then it's always nice to have friends. If you aren't in love with him and can get a way from him, I say do it before you're so emotionally entangled that you can't. I am a big fan of avoiding heart ache.

How can I walk a way from our (good) relationship without a reason. The only legitimate reason I have is his Mormon belief. We've had short discussions and he is of the typical mindset, "We ARE Christians." Is it my responsibility as a follower of Jesus Christ to witness to him? What kind of example would I be if I just walked away?

Thanks. Glad to be here and hoping to find answers to my situation. Can you direct me to the right forum?
