Hello all. Broke my right ankle and keeping it elevated. Husband says I'm a wimp. What's up with that. Am I supposed to be doing all I was doing before?

Welcome to CC, Jumpy.

If I had a broken ankle, I think I’d stay off it as much as possible.

submissive does not mean doormat or slave or target for criticism. biblical submission of a wife does not mean to be dominated over. as the head of the household a husband is to be loving, compassionate and caring. not demanding. seems as though you both need to learn the true meaning of the submission/head concepts.

I will pray God gives you the right words so when you ask for help, your husband responds with a loving willing heart. I find if I ask God for the way to talk to my husband, he is more willing to help me. Sometimes they respond grumpy because they can't fix what is wrong, and they feel guilty.
I don't think they always mean to be grumpy. I will pray God gives him a heart of compassion and insight. In Jesus Name Amen

Thank you all. It's been a little better. God is so awesome to answer prayers. I've been reading about being submissive too. I also told him that the Bible says nowhere that I have to love him, but that he should love me. We've been talking more and communicating more. It was just hard on him at first to accept that I was hurt and not able to do the things he's used to me doing. We forgive, love and move forward. :)
