Im interested in graphic design and saving up for a decent programme as I'd like to get creative, have lots of ideas. Enjoy photography, I'd like to do some kind of graphic design with my own photos with good, positive messages.

Yours are very cheerful and colourful :)
good to meet, Jesus bless
You are welcome, Deror, and thank you, also :):D The program I use is free, called pixlr @ https://pixlr.com/editor/ If you sign up to become a member (which is also free), it gives you more options to save your works in progress, which is quite a handy feature considering one image can take many hours to construct, and with the extra feature, you can add or subtract elements as you see fit :D I have worked in the photo industry for 42 years now, and digital really changed just about everything  Playing around with images is a creative/fun thing I enjoy doing on the side :)

Hello Deror and welcome to Christian Chat. We are happy to have you with us. It interests me that you mentioned your desire to visit South Carolina. I live in North Carolina. The coasts of both states are beautiful.

You may like a place like Ocracoke Island and the village of Ocracoke. This is an ideal place to visit with a bicycle. Also up the coast (Outer Banks) is Hatteras Lighthouse which you must climb and witness the outdoor play on Manteo Island, "The Lost Colony". You would probably need to fly into Norfolk and rent a car to visit these places. Bring comfortable shoes. Google "Outer Banks" for more information. Have fun!
Hi Isny :) Thanks so much. It's nice to be here among pleasant people, and it's good to meet you.

RE: Ocracoke - I'll look that up tomorrow after work in anticipation :)
RE: I love lighthouses :) sounds like a great place to see a sunrise or sunset? The Lost Colony sounds interesting.. Another I'll look forward to checking out :)
RE: comfy shoes - Yes, lol!! Very important !! Feet will be grateful.
I wonder if I could look on Google Earth for the "Outer banks"

Thanks so much for sharing, very generous of you.

When i I worked in a golf club, some of the members go to "The Carolina's" often. For the golf! And their faces lit up when I mentioned going. "Ahh, the Carolina's are beautiful," they said as their eyes lit up with wide smiles :)
I had hoped to visit the coast.
Argh, I kinda wish I went now I've read your post :) I was going to volunteer, for at least a month, but fatigue got the better of me and I was so tired after serving all those golfers full time. Functions several times a week. Good thing is though, the volunteer opportunity is still available every year so I've not written it off.

Youre blessed to live in such a beautiful part of the world. Hope to talk with you again xx

 Oh Wow, you've worked with photos extensively ey, that's so cool. I love it when I get into it, very relaxing zoning in to seeing possibilities creatively working with a photo.
I use a very basic programme, Photoscape and can only work with font really so I just play around with colours.
Thanks for that link I'll look forward to checking out - Thanks for sharing!!

You are welcome! My job has always basically been about making other people's work look as good as it can with what I am given... in the "old days" that was most often a negative or a positive (slide) which I looked at with my naked eye to judge how far away from "normal" it looked, and then printed accordingly, adding or subtracting filtration, depending on what I saw in the image regarding density/exposure, contrast, and color. That was well before the days of display monitors to show us a visual before it was printed, or even back printers to record the filtration information applied to the print.

Experimenting is fun! B&W can be interesting because when the distraction of color is removed, it becomes all about the interplay of light and shadow's composition :)

Pixlr will use whatever fonts you have installed on your computer :)

I have put some of the images I composed on my poetry thread if you would like to see them

PS~
My avatar is an image I found years ago online :D
