I'm Marcella, but you can call me Ella. I went looking for something better than all the smut going on in other secular chat rooms and I found you! What a relief! I've already experienced some nice, lovely, funny, friendly, silly and God fearing people (pick whatever fits you) and I look forward to enjoying many more chats in the future.

On a personal note, I've been studying hebrew with one of my best friends. We just finished learning to read, write, and say the alefbet, with all the nikkud or vowels. Next up is grammar, ugh! But I'm actually loving it! I also have a language exchange friend in Israel (he speaks native hebrew and is learning english, I speak native english and am learning hebrew) who helps me with conversational hebrew, which is a lot different than Biblical hebrew, btw.

I was introduced to hebrew in the lyrics of worship songs (I'm a worship leader) and wanted to be sure I was pronouncing and accenting things properly. I've also learned a few prayers and blessings which are lovely!

Well, that's a pretty decent start. See you in the live rooms!

Hello Ella, and welcome to Christian Chat. That is awesome to be able to speak and understand Hebrew, I always wanted to learn Hebrew or Greek, but I butcher the English language and grammar enough.

Oh, I'm just at the start of my journey in learning Hebrew! I don't have much vocabulary memorized for coversational Hebrew, so just because I can actually read the words, doesn't mean I understand. I still have to look up a lot. For some reason, I write faster than I read. Weird, lol. Anyway, I'm really enjoying it!

I know what you mean about grammar, it's the next course, and I remember how awful it was learning english, so it will be no small miracle to make it through without my teacher throwing me out of the class, lol!
