I once in the 90s considered joining a local RC because there was a Charismatic priest, a Canon no less, well thought of by even the Pentecostals.

The night before I was to attend mass and partake their communion for the first time since teenage years I had a most remarkable dream. As though watching a video, so clear.

I saw a priest, not just any priest but that very priest the Canon, he was dressed in his black suit, his suit though black emanated shekinah glory [I have often seen the shekinah] he was holding a chalice and walked toward me reaching into the chalice he drew forth a host.

I turned and fled, I was not in any fear but never-the-less I climbed through a window and fled across the fields.

I did attend mass the next day and when it came to the place where the priest lifted up the host in front of the congregation and declared "THIS is the Lamb of God who taketh away the sin of the world....... " I knew it was my dream

As quietly as I could I got up and stepped over the now kneeling people and walked out.

I obeyed the scripture "little children flee idolatry"

I hope you will listen, you do not like for your wife to blank you out, stop blanking God out.

yes, we certainly can ask others to pray. but i want to mention just 1 more thing about the "mary" intercessor issue: praying to a dead person is actually a sin; it's called necromancy. i'm quite positive Mary is in heaven but we are not allowed to pray to people who have passed; they can't hear us. have a good night, talk to you again.

The mysteries we don't know are what happened to Mary. There are letters and books of the Bible that didn't get put in the Bible for some reason we don't know. They show the Assumption of Mary into Heaven. Even in the end of John's Gospel he tells us this! The church early picked as humans one they thought were the ones that would help us most. I will try to find for you the truth of some of the books and letters left out and let you research them yourself as well. I feel you and I though we disagree are making me grow closer to all I have been taught.

Any body here married and a caregiver of spouse? I need a little help in just coping with a non talking spouse? We are both born again Catholics. Love ❤️ each other dearly!

Thank you for your advice from Ephesians. I tend to live like my wife has no real problems. I continue to show I love her. She just very depressed a lot. It sounds like your husband couldn't really help much. My wife will help me some. We have started me washing dishes after supper. Once the dish drain is full she will help me dry them. I do though most of the household chores by self. She will tell me when things are done. Sorry to bore you and possibly bring back memories!!! We both need friends to talk to so maybe this start of Holy week is God's way to create friendly conversations from time to time via email. Let us pray 🙏 on it see what God allows to happen. we do know the reason other books are not in the Bible: they were written by men, not Holy Spirit inspired. only H.S. inspired books are in the Bible because the H.S. authored the Bible. Gd can not allow "man authored" books in the Bible because man is imperfect. that would make the Bible imperfect. Read 2nd Thessalonians 3:16, 17 & 2nd Peter 1:20,21. that will prove to you why man authored nooks are not in the Bible.
