one question i really want to know is about prayer. if god already
knows all. then he knows what we will ask before we do it. then
why ask? according to his will if we ask and if he already decided
ahead of time yes or no. it seems futile

"if god"------God cf. He might not know which god you are fully reluctant to pray too.

Prayer is not about asking for what we want. It is communication. If you have a friend, family member, etc.. and you want to stay in touch with them, you do this through communication, right? If you want to get to know a new person better, communication again. Talking, sharing, expressing and listening. This is the real point of prayer. And while, yes, we can go to God with our needs, or the needs of others, what God is after is our time and attention first and foremost.
And God wants us to practice praying for others as well. He wants to see us serve others, show empathy, sympathy, concern and a desire to see good for others. And one way to express this is through prayer. So try not to think of prayer as 'get out the wish list and sit on Santas lap' but rather 'ok God, lets chat'.
