Hello,

I am new to christianchat.com. I figured that if I wanted to surround myself with positive, good people, this would be the perfect place for it.

I suppose I was looking for others who could pray for me and my children. I have been separated from my husband since 6 months after our wedding. He has not been around for the birth of our daughter, or many other things because he is incarcerated. I have stood by him for 20 months. Now that Christmas is coming, the holidays have gotten me down. I don't really have "Family" besides me and my two children (one little girl who is 17 months, and a boy who is 9). I have been hurt very bad by many members in my biological family, and so i separate myself from them. I know you are supposed to forgive in the spirit of Jesus, but how can I forgive those who have sexually molested me and my mother who tries to force me to continue to be around those individuals. My grandmother (my mother's mother) gave birth to her first child, who was her brother's child! Incest! Yes, my mother comes from incest. I have broken away, and choose not to let that be apart of me or my kid's life. This is why I can not just forgive. We must also use wisdom. It is not wisdom to surround my children with child molesters.

What I am asking, is that if you are reading this, that you please pray for me and my children. I just need some prayers right now.

Praying for protection and healing.
And also, that even though you feel you cannot forgive, that you at least will not feel hate, because that is an emotion that will harm you more than them.

May God hold you in the palm of His hand

I will be praying for you and your children. I know it hurts and its hard to forgive but just choose to forgive and let go so that you may live freely and at peace. May God give you the comfort and strength you need. God bless

Sister you are right to protect your Children.
But take it from one who has experienced such things... ask God to grant you the grace to forgive them in your heart because unforgiveness will only hurt you Sister not them. I will pray and indeed have. My heart goes out to you. let the Lord heal your pain. Dont hold onto it...let it go. Its possibly the hardest thing I ever did but the freedom I have gained from surrendering it to Him was so liberating and healing. God Bless you .

We have a forum set aside for prayer requests. You'll probably get more responses and prayers posting there as the people in the section are looking for things to pray about. There are some good prayer warriors in there.
