Not sure what the exact problem is. Not really explained well. If its just a matter of not getting the chat room to connect, that could actually be a problem on your end. If you have a slow, or weak internet connection it can cause troubles connecting to the room. Sometimes it only takes one try for me, once in a while i have to try ten times.
You'll notice next to the 'Chat Now' button there are three options. The far left one, High/Low Speed, setting it to Low speed prevents peoples webcams from displaying, using less internet, but you still will be able to hear. If you have no intent to use a webcam the middle option will turn that off. Perhaps try turning those two off and seeing if that helps any. Otherwise give it time and try again. Sometimes new users just have trouble for some reason, but it clears up usually.
