Hey Jay77,
Sorry to hear you are going thru this.
I can relate.
I was a happy hour Christian, just 1 hour a week.
Someone asked me if I were in court would there be enough evidence to convict me of being a Christian. Wow what a wakeup call.
One of the things that helped me was church. Getting involved, serving others and I began to follow Christ. People helped me to understand what God’s plan is for me. Reading about God’s love for his creation brought a peace to me, as I realized I had value in God’s eyes.
If you are looking for the perfect church, you will not find one. They are filled with people that have been damaged in this world and seeking restoration. I found I fit in just fine. I found people were able to speak life into my dark view point. They prayed with me and I could feel the heaviness and hopelessness begin to evaporate. I changed my TV and radio listen patterns to things that were uplifting and positive.
I went to counseling to deal with anger and forgiveness issues. The bible base counselor showed me God’s plan. God’s perspective has placed a smile on my face for several years now.
You are in my prayers,
