I was born and raised in a good Christian home with a loving and caring family; I enjoyed that life style as a child until satan convinced me it's time for a change. As time was going by I allowed satan to convinces me that the Christian life is boring and it's time for a change; that's the biggest mistake I ever made. I thought to myself it's time to start living the life of excitement and having fun; and I allowed satan to lead me down all of the wrong roads in life. God was trying to get my attention in many different ways but I didn't want anything to do with God back then because I was enjoying my life of excitement satan was providing me with back then. I worked in a bakery back then and one of my jobs there was "deep frying" donuts and fry cakes in the deep fryer each night. On the night of December 3-1976 was my last night in the bakery because that night the fan over the deep fryer stopped working and the fumes from the deep fryer overcame me causing me to pass out and my hands and forearms ended into the deep fryer. I was taken to a burn unit and there they tried to save my hands and forearms but they couldn't save them because there was no life left in them. After loosing both of my hands I realized I needed God in my life too so I asked God to come back into my life and help me threw this situation I'm facing because I knew I could never handle what was facing me alone. Today I'm doing everything I used to do with two hands and ten fingers with two hook's; so I can't complain. Like the old saying goes "if there is a will there is a way" we just have to find that way and make the best of it each day. I'm using these arms so well each day threw God's grace because I know I would never be able to operate these arms each day as well as I do the if God wasn't leading my way; praise God for that blessing! I often explain to people who ask me how I lost my hands and I say "back then I had both of my hands but my soul was lost; today my soul is saved and someday I'll be receiving a whole new body I have a lot to look forwarded too!" Many people are not too sure who to take that response coming from me. God is leading our way we just have follow His way each and every day because God will never let us down!
