From sunny (for the time) Eastern NC. Was blessed to the the wife of a wonderful Christian man for 28 years who sadly passed from covid. I am strong in the Lord and can see my blessings daily. I know that I have a hope and a grand purpose that God will show me in HIS timing…til then I stay grounded in HIS word and prayer as I learn to navigate this “new” journey. Hello and blessings to all!

I joined this site less than a month after the death of my late second wife. You most certainly have a hope and a grand purpose that God will show you. I'm from NE Tennessee having relocated from Florida late last year. Glad to have you in our community. Safe passage in your 'new' journey. Welcome to CC.

Here in Central NC it will be 84F and sunny today. The leaves should be very beautiful about right now on the Blue Ridge Parkway to the west. The fishing on the Outer Banks (OBX) should be about perfect. Ever tasted puppy drum or speckled trout soon after the catch? Ever been flounder gigging in the sounds? Eastern NC should be just wonderful today!

We are so glad that you are with us. May our Heavenly Father bless you. :)

P.S. My favorite place to get away to is Ocracoke Island.

It is a glorious day here. I am actually heading down to Nags Head/Kitty Hawk tomorrow ahead of the cool front. You are right no seafood tastes as good as that from the Outer Banks. Ocracoke is one of my favorite places…
Our last vacation was about this time last year and the parkway was fabulous with color…blessed memories for sure. I am a tried and true flat lander however and the mountain area intrigues me. Thank you for the warm welcome and may you have a blessed day!

Nice to meet you and so sorry for your loss, at least until we all reunite one day with our loved ones in Heaven:) I'll have to add to my bucket list a trip to NC, Outer Banks, Ocracoke to indulge in the seafood there. God bless you and your family!

First off, I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. I am, however, glad that God has and is continuing to keep you close (as he always does in all things). Even more glad that he Blesses you to know that He not only is Blessing you, but Blessing you to know that and that He is Preparing you as well during this time for what He is going to have you do in His time, praise be to Our Heavenly Father Whim Loves you so very, very much.
